Summary of Experience
Completed both of UCSB's three-part GIS and Remote Sensing Program Series, during which, finished a two-part Remote Sensing/GIS study examining the vegetation change on Santa Cruz Island over a twenty-year time span as a final project. The study focused on the interaction between introduced grazing wildlife with the native and invasive plant species on the island. With the use of GPS data, satellite imagery, as well as historical and current vegetation patterns created a three-part time series change of native and invasive biota on the island.
As a Senior GIS/CAD technician, role at WRA has been to create high quality maps, calculations, and analysis integrating GIS, CAD, and Remote Sensing platforms. Work at WRA has included, but not limited to, mitigation and delineation, watershed analysis, habitat conservation, rare species impact, hydrological monitoring, soil sampling, and coastal development impact.
