Instrumentation Engineering Specialist
* Interpretation of the P-C Downstream Standards and Specifications as applied to the Oil Sands managed projects and provide clarification of these as required i.e. RFI's, TDN's and NCR's
* Support the Project Team in the review of the EPC and vendor designs to ensure conformance to standards and specifications, consistency with good design practices and equipment accessibility, operability, reliability and ease of maintenance. Consulted with EPC's on Safety Integrity Level (SIL) analysis and examination of systems.
* Verification of equipment performance by attending critical equipment witnessed inspection events.
* Support of Start-up operations, Ready For Operation (RFO) support, identification of potential problems and working with refinery team leaders on workable ideas to achieve a timely and cost effective solution.
* Identifying opportunities for the upgrade and improvement of P-C standards, specifications, standard drawings, and designs and assisting the corporate organization in enacting these improvements.
* Assist in establishing the document standards required for future project work and supporting the implementation of the standards.
