Consultant - Deputy Contracts Manager (2008-2009)
Successfully mitigated and resolved contract disputes by international EPC contractor, and local Brazilian mechanical and electrical contractors on a billion dollar refinery expansion project. Prepared dispute resolution strategy and acted as lead negotiator for the project team.

Sr. Contracts Advisor (2008)
A member of the site management team in Angola responsible for overview of the formation and administration of a variety of EPC, lump sum and cost reimbursable contracts on a $9 billion Angola LNG project. Ensured site contract representative understand intent of contract terms, provided expert advice to Project Management on contract interpretation and properly administered contracts to mitigate risk of claims. Maintained close liaison with legal, finance, insurance, accounting, cost, schedule and audit personnel to ensure an integrated, effective project controls effort. Ownerfs Representative responsible for the overview of the formulation and administration of various cost reimbursable and lump-sum construction contracts for the $800 million Chevron Refinery Renewal project in Richmond, California. Contracts included design, project management, infrastructure, civil, permanent buildings, mechanical, and electrical. Managed the resolution of financial, legal, and technical issues, together with the mitigation of claims, and facilitated the coordination of engineering and construction at the jobsite. BECHTEL INTERNATIONAL, INC., Montreal, Canada and Mosjoen, Norway
Contracts Manager (2004-2006)
Directly responsible for contracts formation and administration for the $300 million Mosjoen Carbon Plant Project, which was based in Norway. Duties included the mitigation of contractor claims, assisting in the resolution of financial, legal, and technical issues; monitoring of key contracts, facilitation of weekly progress review meetings, training of support personnel, and coordinating administrative issues between Vancouver, San Francisco, and two jobsites.

Oversaw the formulation and administration of various types of performance incentives, schedule of rates, and lump-sum contracts and subcontracts related to a $350 million Port Facilities Project.
