July 1977 to Oct,1982,Geological Survey of India, Shillong & Nagpur: During this period worked on Magnetic, Gravity and Resistivity surveys for Sulphide mineralistion, Regional geological mapping, Diamond exploration

Nov,1982 to till date: Scientist, National Remote SensingCentre, Dept.of Space, Balanagar, Hyderabad -500625,A.P, India. During this period the following are the major achievements:
> Participated in regional aeromagnetic data acquisition, processing and map generation over major part of the country for regional Geological mapping, for Geological Survey of India, Oil and Natural Gas Commission, Directorate General of Hydrocarbons. These works mainly include planning of Aeromagnetic surveys, data acquisition, checking of data quality, processing, map generation and interpretation of data for identifying subsurface structures and basement depth at various locations using "Geosoft" package. Knowledge and familiarity of "KINGDOMSUITE" for Seissmic interpretation.
> Identified kimberlite pipes based on analysis of Remote Sensing and Aeromagenetic data interpretation. Estimated the thickness of weathered kimberlite rock based on interpretation of Resistivity data.
In addition:
* Developed Mathematical modeling for sulphide mineralization utilizing Rmote Sensing, aero geophysical and ground resistivity surveys. Subsequent drilling over one of the favourable zones encountered Copper mineralization.
* Developed Expert System for Ground water exploration using Remote Sensing data and other relevant knowledge. This is a rule based system where in the suitable rule is activated depending on the user input and ground water potential is predicted in given area under study.
* Remote Sensing data interpretation and Groundwater potential evaluation over West Godavari district,A.P. In this study suitable weightages were assigned for various controlling factors for groundwater and integrated in GIS environment.
* GIS based analysis for Hydrocarbon potential over Jabera Anticline, Vindhyan basin based on Gravity, Magnetic and Seismic data. In this study suitable weightages were assigned for various geological and geophysical parameters and then integrated in GIS –ARC /Info environment for identifying favourable zones for hydrocarbon Potential evaluation. This approach reduces area of search for allocation of funds, manpower and other associated resources in an exploration programme. It is under stood that subsequent drilling encountered natural gas.
* Also carried out Remote Sensing based studies for Shallow gas exploration over part of Cambay Basin.

Presently as Head, Geology & Geophysics Division involved in the following:
Planning, coordinating and supervision of various projects based on analysis of Remote Sensing, Aeromagnetic and Resistivity data for Mineral, Oil exploration, Environmental and Engineering Geology projects catering to the needs of Government and Private organizations.
