Employment History:

May ’97 to present: Chief Consultant for Gold and Mineral Excavation Inc. (GMEI), based in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Central Asia. Director of Tajik - British Joint Venture Darvaz. (Alluvial Gold Deposit). My main duties consisted of coordinating the rebuilding of the minesite, equipment and infrastructure. In April 1999 the first material was processed since 1997, which mark the beginning of production and a successful restart of the operation. This was accomplished through close co-operation with the Tajik Government in the form of the Ministry of Precious Metals, the Local Government of the area, and the Management Team of the Joint Venture. Other responsibilities include the overseeing of the accounting and logistic departments.

April ’96 to December ’96: Consulting Mineral Processor for Gold and Mineral Excavation Inc. (GMEI). Based on the Joint Venture – Darvaz minesite, Tajikistan, Central Asia. My duties included overseeing the daily gold washing activities using gravity separation techniques. Performed test work on washing plant tailings with a 7.5” Knelson Concentrator and based on the results it was decided to design a new plant for the treatment of the wash plant tailings. During this period I performed acting duties as general manager on several occasions. The mine site, equipment and infrastructure was destroyed in December 1996 by the United Tajik Opposition (UTO) forces during the Tajik Civil War.

July ’94 to March ’96: Plant Metallurgist for Amplats, Precious Metals Refinery Ltd. (PMR), Rustenburg, South Africa. I was responsible for product quality control and test work performed in the following areas: Platinum, Palladium and Osmium final refining stages, Value Recovery Plant and Utilities. I was also part of the commissioning team for the Residue Handling Section.

January ’93 to June ’94: Commissioning Metallurgist for Amplats, Potgietersrust Platinum Ltd. (PPL), Potgietersrust, South Africa. I was part of the commissioning team of a 250,000 ton/month fully computerized Platinum Group Metals (PGM) Concentrator. Assisted in the implementation of Controlview (Process Control System). Optimization was performed on the Primary Rougher Sections within the flotation section as well as on the Incircuit Crushing Plant for the Autogenius Primary Mills.

January ’89 to December ’92: Learner Official for Johannesburg Consolidated Investments Ltd. (JCI). Underwent In-house Training during this period at various locations within the group, which are as follow:

1st YEAR: PGM, Concentrator, Amandelbult, Amplats.
2nd YEAR: Gold Plant, Millsite, Randfontein Estates.
3rd YEAR: Water Purification, Westonarea, Amplats Research Laboratories (ARL).
4th YEAR: Coal, South Witbank, Tavistok Coal Mining.
