RESUME
Addendum
Job functions include management of overall safety program for major companies. Specializing in bilingual Spanish training. This entailed direct, hands on safety in the field and classroom for employees. Liaison for the company completed routine tasks under my direction as the consultant for the company.
The above status and working relationship developed from my knowledge and experience with OSHA and MSHA. DOT, EPA, Rail, Maritime and Construction with emphasis on Electrical were incorporated as a composite safety plan in the company. I had established U.S. Compliance & Safety and contracted our services. I not only incorporated Part 48 but also Part 46, 62, 47, OSHA (to include Rail and Maritime) and DOT. In some cases, this was before the statute(s) was/were put into effect and therefore provided the company time to incorporate, initiate and assimilate the systems into their daily work criteria. Continued surveys were conducted to ascertain if inspection did the job of providing safety for profit. This reduced accidents and direct monetary cost.
I must state that the profit theme does not overshadow the moral issue.
I ALWAYS value life over dollars!
I was an International consultant for H.T. Watts Chemical Company, a contracted chemical manufacturer for J.M. Huber Company, for 5 years.
Directly guided the overall safety program for Watts Chemical in all aspects for 12 years.
My client list is varied and includes coal mines and surface mines, construction companies, general industry and other large and small companies that range from 1 man operations to approximately 1000 employee operations.
I have been directly involved in safety for 32 years as an enforcement officer to a consultant. In my early years while employed as an OSHA/MSHA inspector. I began consulting as an IH with dioxin residue; then asbestos abatement; back to OSHA work in general industry and then returned to mining where I began. As I stated, I am a true generalist in the field of safety but my forte lies in working with employees in the field.
I do not stand on ceremony and deal with management and labor, straight up and simple.
Note: There is a certain level that a person aspires to attain. We are caught up in the dynamic of the situation and thereby swept along in its wake. This was my path until I delegated day to day operations to my staff. They are a well-trained and capable staff.
I wanted to return to grass roots safety with the ability to control the overall program. This has been difficult due to monetary considerations. However, I am in hope that I may still be an effective and integral part of a company that can contribute with compensation in line with my performance. I am one of those individuals that you can judge on paper and in person and in action. I get results!
