Leading a group of Contractor Coordinators to manage all Contractor work to develop, set up and implement a Contractor Management system. Made up of procedures, Contract Documents and business policies to ensure sound business practices are being used to maintain a transparent bidding process, based on proper work scopes and Tender Documents which incorporate, Standard Terms & Conditions as well as Quality Control, documented turn over and proper Project close out policies.
Reduced the Contracting activity in one year from 45 to 27 $ Million

Red Dog Mine - VIP Project, Kotzebue Alaska ($108 M U.S.) March 2000 to Jan 2002
General Construction Superintendent:
Working within an alliance made up of three major stake holders to complete an extremely aggressive fast tracked expansion Project. Managed all disciplines to complete the modular construction phase in Anchorage. The transportation of these two 2000 ton modules by sea, then over 50 miles of road to an isolated location above the arctic circle, site preparation, installation, integration and commissioning of these facilities on site during the winter in sub-zero arctic conditions.

Cominco Ltd., - Trail Operations, Trail B.C. Oct 1995 to Mar 2000
Construction Superintendent:
Managed numerous Construction Projects from design to completion of Construction. Responsible for Scope development through the tender process, Contractor selection, construction completion and commissioning. Accountable for the cost, schedule, site safety and management of all parts of the work. These Projects include but are not limited to:
* A 100-Ton liquid Oxygen storage tank, c/w vaporizer, pumps, transfer, loading / unloading facilities.
* The installation of a new Pressure Leach Autoclave system for the Zinc metallurgical process
* The installation of an automated Lewis casting line to robotically control the molten zinc process.
* The installation of our new Kivcet lead furnace reactor.
* Numerous plant demolition contracts

La Mina, Quebrada Blanca - Iquique Chile Feb 1993 to Mar 1995
Area Construction Manager:
Working with an integrated Flour Daniel Construction Management team, as an Area Construction Manager for the construction of a copper mine and processing plant as well as the required infrastructure. Responsible for the completion of a 50 Mw Power Plant, the SX / EW plants and materials handling systems, which were part of the development of a copper mine and processing plant located in the alti plano of northern Chile. 1200 local Contractors performed the work. The mine was remotely located 180 miles from Iquique at over 14,000 ft in elevation.
