Graham has developed a wide range of skills serving a broad spectrum of government and private clients. He has provided comprehensive services in Phase I and II contaminated land investigation / remediation of soil and groundwater, CQA supervision and EIA management. Graham specialises in Environmental Auditing / ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems having developed extensive experience implementing the standard.

Graham has management experience of a wide variety of environmental projects including international health safety and environment management systems, development and implementation of environmental management systems, development and provision of training courses, and environmental management audits. Graham is a Lead ISO 14001 Auditor. He has led and participated in major Oil and Gas and Construction projects implementing ISO 14001 certifiable Environmental Management Systems. He has assisted managers, employees and regulators in understanding environmental compliance and developed effective pollution control measures to minimise risks. Graham has gained hands-on practical experience employed as an Environmental Chemist by a commercial biological / oil treatment facility. •SGS Yarsley ICS - Environmental technical expert on SGS YICS ISO14001 pre-audit, desk study, main assessment and surveillance audits. Certification audits on Multi-National Steel Manufacturing, Service Industries, oil and gas and SME’s.

•Shell International Exploration and Production (Nigeria) – ISO14001 Consultancy, Nigeria. Providing in-country assistance to pipelines, geomatics and well engineering businesses to implement ISO14001 compliant HSE-MS. Support role to other elements of SPDC as a third party lead auditor. Involvement in liaison projects with communities on swamp and land areas throughout the Delta state in Southern Nigeria.

•Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria – HSE Implementation Team Consultant (HIT) - HSEMS auditing, onshore & offshore Nigeria. Lead Environmental auditor for audit of Shell Imo River District, Ekulama District, Odidi District, Tunu District, Pipelines West and Geomatics. ISO14001 audits compliant HSEMS against internal Shell standard (‘HSEMS In-Place’).

•Hunt Oil – Environmental benchmarking/sustainability investigation for new gas fields in Peru.

•Petroplus Tankstorage Milford Haven Ltd. - ISO 14001 consultancy at a petroleum storage firm including site initial environmental review, assistance with procedure writing and implementation. IPPC Permit Application / Improvement planning consultancy.

•Welsh Water plc – Construction Quality Assurance Supervisor. Contaminated Land Encapsulation Project. Environmental Liaison project supervision on Cardiff’s Waste Water Treatment Plant. Environmental Involvement in the construction of a £180M scheme for Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and continues liaison advise concerning current environmental elements.

•Vinci Construction (Naga Hammadi Barrage and Hydropower Plant, Egypt) – Environmental Manager of the construction project. Developed Environmental Management Plan for the construction phase of The Naga Hammadi Barrage on the River Nile. A major construction project, it involves the re-channelling the Nile whilst construction takes place. Work completed: Environmental Management Plan, environmental briefing documents and the creation of environmental work instructions to the standard of ISO14001.

•John Laing Construction – Multi National Construction company. Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) consultancy for the installation of a geocomposite barrier system covering placed contaminated material during major redevelopment works, South Wales. The barrier system covered a 4km² area of steel works/historical waste. Provided on-site supervision for over a year.

•Carmarthenshire NHS Trust – Trust focal point contact for environmental management operations. Advise and assist departments to fulfil their obligations with respect to Trust, National Assembly of Wales, National, Regional and Local Environmental Management requirements. Formulate a structured approach to environmental management within the Trust involving the creation and co-ordination of specialist sub-groups to advise on areas of activity deemed pertinent to Trust environmental management. Raise environmental awareness within the Trust amongst staff, visitors, contractors, stakeholders and the local community. Produce guidance, training and publicity material on relevant aspects of environmental management. Chair the Environmental Forum. Develop performance indicators on particular aspects of environmental management and encourage the adoption of common methods and standards for performance.

•Shanks Waste Solutions –Waste management company. EIA Management Assistance: Landfill Site Extension. The development of an Environmental Statement for the site and assistance in monitoring and reporting for the document. Corporate IPPC application assistance. Experienced working as the site environmental chemist, the position required monitoring and maintaining environmental, leachate and gas field management systems. Other duties included daily monitoring of wastes received, weigh-bridge and laboratory management, record keeping and data analysis. Managed projects and worked with clients and staff in the overall area of landfill and solid waste.

•Byzak Ltd. – Tunnel construction company. Environmental Guidance and ISO14001 assistance in procedure writing and implementation. Involvement in environmental compliance audits during the construction of the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Cardiff.
