Courses Acquired: Geochemistry, Geophysics, Igneous & Metamorphic Petrology, Mineral Resources, Mineralogy, Optical Mineralogy, Sedimentary Stratigraphy and Petrology, Depositional Environments and Analogues, Structural Geology, Applied Tectonics, Petroleum Geology, and Radiation and Environment.
Field School: mapping techniques, formation descriptions, sample collection, geochemical analysis, and report write-ups. August 2001.

Selected from a group of students through academic standing, by department involvement. Studied Geology and Tectonics of the Xayacatlán Fm., Mexico. Including two seminar courses taught in Spanish.
Field work: mapping, formation description, and sample collection, and geochemical analysis. Completion of fieldwork has lead to a Geology thesis.
