"Geodynamics Ltd" is Australia's' leading geothermal energy company with the most advanced developments into the "burgeoning" alternate energy solutions arena, with their advanced research into harnessing the geothermal energy of "hot fractured rock" as alternative to fossil fuel powered electricity plants, that Australia so heavily relies on at present for it's electrical energy generation.

Duties include,
As the project's logistical co-ordinator, my expertise lies in the sourcing, tracking and logging of materials required on the Habanero 2 drill program. Daily reporting of progress, updates of transportation to site, delays, and contingencies to counter delays, minimising costs of hired equipment and have them returned after the project duration.
As well as:

* Track and expedite existing orders on the tracking system, and correlate the ETA's etc, and relay to group.
* Issue subsequent instructions to enable expeditious delivery from locations around the country.
* Lodge with suppliers PO's resulting from quotations sought by the team.
* Complete PO's, have appropriate authority attached and forward P.O to supplier and confirm receipt
* Source, Price and locate small cost items for the project ie PPE, materials and tools.
* Investigate Invoices for project, where there is a doubt in delivery.
* Complete correspondence trails (email) to ascertain an outcome.
* Speak with contractors/carriers to schedule pickups, and delivery of goods required on site.
* Liaise with Project staff, to clarify cost allocations and track costs accordingly.
* Compile a weekly report on the movements of orders for the team to refer to, and present to client.
* Attend daily meeting as to the impending topics and materials that require follow up.
* Act on behalf of project staff, with their directions to suppliers and contractors.

Coal Seam Methane gas exploration and collection project, to supply the Gas Energy Markets of Eastern Australia.

Position: Senior Stores & Purchasing Officer,

Duties: Management of Inventory items involved in the collection and compression stages of Coal Seam Methane gas. Including drilling and rig equipment ie drill heads, tubing and tapping equipment for the exploration stages and machinery and parts used in the collection ie separators to drain water from the wells during collection. Purchasing functions to cover all the inventory restocks as well as consumable items used on site and for the development of the field. This is a shift run on a 2 week on/2week off cycle to give continuous coverage of service to the exploration, installation and maintenance crews in the field. Purchasing process is manual with expediting done likewise, Inventory control is partially managed via MYOB inventory program to track sales and purchases which help capture costs of goods to the field.

Cont'd The range of goods and services handled range from safety equipment purchases right through to services provided by local contractors and suppliers.
This function is a constant process of checking stock on hand and anticipating supply requirements, lead times and usage as per the drilling programs, maintenance programs and installation of new and updated equipment on the field.
Close liaison with drilling crew, process engineers, installation engineers and site supervisors are a requirement for the role and I can duly adapt to communicate and function well with all staff.

Position: Open Cut Warehouse Supervisor Logistics/Coordinator.

Duties
Warehouse operation, logistics and supply of mining and wash plant consumables, for the open cut mining facilities including Spares for heavy mining equipment, Draglines/Shovels/ and bucket loaders. Monitoring of G.E.T (Ground Engaging Tools), and other consignment stock (eg Tyres)

Computerised ordering and expediting of stock, and stock maintenance via Mims (Mincom information management system), encompassing the planned maintenance of plant operations. Freight handling both to and from site of all inward orders and off site repairable items.

Supervision of visiting staff, contract delivery and contractual management obligations, inventory control and stock taking, redesign of existing warehouse facility to improve productivity and responsibility for a safe working environment for both staff and visitors.

Venture operation between MIM Holdings and Pasminco Ltd, which was fully commissioned in Aug 97, with an expected mining life of 15 years.

Position: Head Storeman/Supply Officer

Duties
Warehouse operation, logistics and supply of mining and plant consumables, current inventory holding of approx 3.1 million (owned), and over 2.5million in consignment stock.

Computerised ordering and expediting of stock, and stock maintenance via Mims (Mincom information management system), encompassing the planned maintenance of plant operations. Freight handling both to and from site of all inward orders and off site repairable items. Supervision of subordinate staff to utilise their best resource potential. Inventory control and stocktaking, and responsibility for a safe working environment for both staff and visitors.

Operation of mechanised loading equipment and movement of parts and equipment around site and within storage facilities, along with maintenance and care of this equipment.

Have also assisted in the construction stages of the EHM Project, as Material Shipping Officer, with some cataloguing functions and experience. Changes in design in turn create frequent updating of our district catalogue descriptions, as does the updating of parts and equipment changed in design updates/process changes, eg (Mill Liners, consumable reagents, etc).
Also managed initial contracts set up in the interim for construction stages of EHM project with construction processes being primarily the type of contracts overseen.

LIHIR Gold Operations on Lihir Island PNG is a billion dollar project with an expected life of over 30 years. The EPCM for the project was based in Brisbane and involved around 1000 staff of all backgrounds for approx 3 years; in order to supply the planning and technical support needed to create this huge endeavour.
The 2 years spent with this project exposed me to the intricate & often crucial aspects and details involved with expediting and logistics in general, I have gained valuable knowledge of the regional shipping requirements and customs, involved in the transfer and uplift of equipment from Australia to PNG.
