Duties:
-Responsible for process plant throughput and short term maintenance schedules

-Evaluate and Implement Training programme for plant operators and Induction program for new plant operators

Duties:
-Have included supervision of three, ten member operating crews and six men day crew and tailings dam management.

-Liaise with maintenance staff to; facilitate planned maintenance program, prioritise backlog maintenance, and minimise downtime resulting from breakdown maintenance

Position: Relief Plant Metallurgist/Metallurgist
Duties:
-Metallurgical process monitoring, i.e. reagent addition rate and usage cost /target set point, balls addition rate, mills liner profiles, cyclones wear monitoring, etc.
-Daily and Weekly reports
-Plant metallurgical test work including dissolve oxygen, sizing
-Optimisation of grinding circuit, etc.,
-Co-ordinate laboratory activities, this includes checking assays results, etc,
-Assist in metallurgical accounting and gold reconciliation for both CIL plant and Heap Leach operation
-Stand in for the plant metallurgist while incumbent is on leave
-Liaise with other sections within the organization, particularly technical groups in the mining and maintenance department.
