July 1985 to Present Owned and Operated WTSCO

The Technical Service organizations started in 1985 as a one-man operation, selling parts and services to owners of Letourneau specialized mining equipment. Originally in the central Pennsylvania coal-mining region, the business quickly expanded to a worldwide organization with over 75 employees with store, warehouse and repair facilities across the United States. Initially limited to U.S. manufactured electric drive mining equipment we expanded to become distributors for Belaz (Russian) of highway, electric drive trucks and Belshena (Byelorussia) tires. Successfully negotiated, distributor contracts, long term maintenance contracts and parts supply contract both domestically and internationally.

June 1982 to July 1985 Letourneau Sales Memphis, TN

Set up mining equipment parts and service operations for this long time Letourneau distributor that had just become the Eastern U. S. Distributor for Letourneau Mining Machinery. Initiated operations of warehouse, repair and sales facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. This included facility acquisitions, employee staffing, and procurement of tools, equipment and field service vehicles.

Helped with the transition of existing facilities in Texas, Illinois and Alabama to integrate the operations into the mining industry.

June 1978 to June 1982 Marathon Letourneau Longview, Texas

Initially employed as a Factory Service Rep for the Appalachian Region in the eastern US. Duties included distributor and customer satisfaction, warranty and technical support for the heavy Letourneau mining machinery operating in the region. Added responsibilities included the delivery of machinery in other parts of the world, Africa, Europe, China and the Pacific Rim. Product familiarization, maintenance and service training and electrical safety procedures were all part of the delivery process.
I was moved to the Longview manufacturing facility as Service Manager Of World Wide Mining Equipment Support.

March 1975 to June 1978 Trans Arabian Tech Service, Saudi Arabia

Shop Service Manager for a large independent repair facility in Saudi Arabia. Operated a full service repair and rebuild operation for heavy equipment. This included, diesel and gas engine rebuild with complete testing facility, a large full compliment machine shop and all related support facilities. With 300 specialized employees we operated the largest independent repair and rebuild facility on the Arabian Peninsula.

June 1972 to March 1975 Paul's Trucking Woodbridge, NJ

Shop Forman for the maintenance and repair facility of a large contract carrier. Scheduled maintenance, tire repair and safety inspections for the operation of 300 road tractors and over 2000 trailers. Maintained records for all repairs and initiated a tire numbering and recording system to track tire cost and utilization.

June 1968 to June 1972 SAMP Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Participated in a training program to train the Saudi military in the maintenance of heavy machinery and heavy weapons. Managed Direct Support Units for the military and instructed on the management and operation of those facilities.
