Maintenance Planner
Responsibilities

* Liaise with all Head of departments, Superintendents, production Supervisors, Workshop Supervisors, Leading hands & Mechanics to Scheduled, in progress jobs and manage for backlogs

* Identify needed parts, prepare part(s) request form, use mechanic related information to raise maintenance work orders, monitor cost associated and close work order after job is completed.
* Prepare and monitor Preventive maintenance and service schedules for all mining equipment, light vehicles and small plants such as: lighting, welding plants and compressors

* Follow up on ordered and purchase spare parts required for repair / maintenance works, ensure that these parts are available on time for jobs to be completed and also stocked parts do not run out of stock

* Review PM tasks, Component change-outs, and job histories for all mining equipments

* Draw up lubrication and other preventive maintenance programs while ensuring compliance to plant vendor's recommendations (OEM) and industrial codes and standards

* Forward oil samples for Laboratory analysis and draw up corrective actions on bad results

* Manage condition monitoring and preventive maintenance programs in order to achieve high level of equipment Reliability, Availability, Productivity, Safety and Profitability

* Track major components on all mining equipment and schedule them for change outs.

* Prepare Daily mine maintenance, Light vehicle maintenance and Power generation reports

* Prepare Monthly reports on equipment Downtime and Availability, Lubricant usage, Fuel consumption and Ground engaging tools (GET) consumption, fleet hours, major components' hours, tyre usage, etc
* Monitor fuel distributed to all mining equipment, Power house, Small plants, Light vehicles and Hired equipment
* Prepare monthly fuel report to include fuel per hour rate for all mining equipment and the cost associated

* Make sure that all safety, health and environmental policies of the company at the workshop are kept at all times Manage maintenance database software programs aimed at addressing specific needs, in order to monitor maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to include; Availability, Utilization, Efficiency, Productivity, Cost, Based on equipment condition/histories

* Ensure maintenance technicians are up-to-date on all technical skills training and certifications and have access to all repair manuals, engineering guidelines and specifications, etc.

Assistant Maintenance Planner
Responsibilities

* Prepare preventive maintenance and service schedules for all mining equipment, light vehicles and small plants such as: lighting, welding plants and compressors

* Identify needed parts and prepares part(s) request form, raise maintenance work orders and close work order after job is completed.

* Follow up on ordered and purchase spare parts required for repair / maintenance works

* Prepare weekly Preventive maintenance schedule for all mobile mining equipment, drill rigs, ensure defect on all equipment are repaired and daily pre-start checks are carried out on all equipment

* Draw up lubrication and other preventive maintenance programs while ensuring compliance to plant vendor's recommendations and industrial codes and standards

* Prepare and forward oil samples for Laboratory analysis and draw up corrective actions on bad results

* Manage condition monitoring/preventive maintenance programs in order to achieve high level of equipment reliability, productivity, safety and profitability

* Track major components on all mining equipment and schedule them for change outs.

* Prepare daily and assist in the preparation monthly mine maintenance reports.

* Prepare monthly reports when required and report on equipment downtime and availability, oils, fuel and ground engaging tools (GET) consumption, fleet hours, major components' hours, tyre usage, etc
* Monitor fuel distributed to all mining equipment, Power house, Small plants, Light vehicles and Hired equipment
* Prepare monthly fuel report to include fuel per hour rate for all mining equipment and the cost associated

* Draw up duty roster for maintenance personnel and prepare end of month time sheet for payroll

Workshop Supervisor
* Discuss problems with car drivers or vehicle operators to discover faults, listen to engines, fit and operate special test equipment and test drive vehicles
* Manage condition monitoring/preventive maintenance programs for all customers' vehicles and inform them as early as possible for services and change outs to be made.
* Communicate daily work schedules of three maintenance craft technicians.
* Prepare daily maintenance reports for Workshop Manager
* Supervise all maintenance jobs, raise work order and part request for all preventive and breakdown maintenance jobs
* Coordinate and supervise outside services as required by job plans.
* Order and purchase spare parts required for repair / maintenance works and also ensure that these parts are available on time for jobs to be completed
* Ensure that stocked parts do not run out of stock
* Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures are followed.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
* Draw up duty roster for maintenance personnel
