A mining engineer with broad management and supervisory, engineering, production, mine startup, contracting, and cross-cultural experience in the underground environment. Ten-plus years experience in backfill, shotcrete. Mine operation in an urban and environmentally sensitive locale & remote areas. 43-101 qualified reports. Experience in Latin America and Kosovo. Spanish-language capability--able to work well with non-Anglophone personnel.
MINE SUPERINTENDENT
Presently mine superintendent at a remote mine in the Peruvian Andes. Responsible for 250+ miners. An old mine being returned to production. Very narrow and low grade, polymetallic veins. Low working capital availability. As the only North American on the property, I am try-ing to impart North American methods and philosophies into an inefficient mining culture. Mill located 1900 ft below mine but 1 hour away by vehicle. Acid water drainage problems.

* Lowered bench drilling bit costs from 75¢-$1/ft to 17¢/ft by using diamond-
enhanced, percus-sion drill bits. Saved over $129,000/yr.
* Cut diamond core bit costs: $2/ft to 50¢/ft. Increased bit footage: 20-ft/bit to 800-ft/bit.
GROUND CONTROL AND ROCK MECHANICS
* Designed & operated truck-placed backfill systems. Worked with sandfill systems.
