THE NANOSTEEL COMPANY 2007 - 2008
Position: VP Sales – Welding Materials
* Introduced NanoSteel "turn-key" welding surfacing solutions and products to the USA & Canada mining industry. Achieved first NanoSteel wearplate sales.
* Developed partnerships with key contractors on a global basis for turn-key solutions to end-users.
* Assessed and revised customer base and budget.
WALL COLMONOY CORPORATION 2005 – 2006
Position: Marketing and Sales Manager
* Managed the Alloy Products Division (sales budget of USD$25M) with sales regions including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and Asia.
* Implemented new sales analysis tools that improved sales force productivity and communication between external and internal sales.
* Coordinated, coached, and led the sales team to help set new divisional sales records, growing sales by approximately USD$4M in 2006.

Position: Technical Manager, Sales (NE), Training, Customer Workshop
* Coordinated, coached, and led the NE sales region (approximately $4M with 6 sales representatives).
* Coordinated, coached, and led the technical engineering support staff (4), supporting the NAFTA region with a personal supporting role to Canada, South America, South East Asia, Australia, & New Zealand.
* Responsible for P&L of wearplate division and customer repair workshop.
* Directed product managers of welding, coatings, brazing, and wearplate business areas.
* Expanded global knowledge transfer, via implementation and promotion of an intranet platform, to communicate latest technical training programs and product innovations within the global company.

* Assisted in training the USA and Canadian sales force.
Eutectic Canada Inc. (Edmonton, Alberta) 1999 – 2002
Position: Technical Director
* Improved technical support capability and key account development to the western Canadian region, specifically in the oil sands industry.
* Project managed the business plan, negotiation, start-up, and running of an on-site wear-surfacing workshop that resulted in new sales of $1M/year by close of year two.
* Implemented a succession plan by coaching a direct report (an engineer) as eventual replacement as Project Manager.
* Developed new application solutions with major oilsand company resulting in lead authorship with two technical papers published in ITSC proceedings.
Eutectic Australia Pty. Ltd. 1980 – 1999
Position: Technical Manager 1985 – 1999
* Directed technical support to customers and sales team in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and South East Asia.
* As business unit manager for Brazing (1998-1999) and Coatings (1997 – 1999), responsible for P&L, sales growth, and marketing functions.
* Responsible for technical support to Eutectic customer service workshop. Achieved savings to major client +$1M by recommending consumables and supervising the on-site weld repair to a cement kiln satellite cooler. Awarded "Best Approved Application Procedure" Western Hemisphere Division.
* Company representative to Standards Australia and Welding Technology Institute of Australasia.
* Directed, prepared, and delivered on-site technical seminars to BHP (Western Australia), University of Wollongong (NSW), and Indonesian Navy (Surabaya, Indonesia).
Position: Metallurgist 1980 – 1985
* Reporting to the Technical Manager. Developed BOMs, quality control of raw materials, production and finished product.
* Implemented and ran metallurgical laboratory.
* Assisted in ISO9001 preparation, compliance, and approval.
