Laboratory Technician

* Assist chemist in laboratory work.
* Responsible for laboratory shift activities; supervision of aides.
* Calibration of balances, pipettes and pH meters.
* Maintain always in good operational condition of the entire instrument used in analysis.
* Receive, prepares, and analyze samples for ICP-OES, AAS, XRF, ION CHROMATOGRAPHY, CARBON SULFUR, PARTICLE SIZE and AUTOMATIC TITRATOR.
* Assist production operators and laboratory aides in measuring pH, density, percent solids and centrifuging slurry samples.
* Supervised the sample preparation of XRF.
* Responsible for the assigning and monitoring the works of his men in shift.
* Responsible for the withdrawal of all laboratory supply from the stock room which is needed for the shift.
* Responsible in the double checking of all analysis results before it will be given to production personnel.
* Responsible in recording in the turn-over logbook on the accomplishments, suggestions and any matters pertaining to their activities or happenings which is worthwhile information for the incoming shift.
* Responsible in checking the cleanliness of the working places, before start until the end of the shift.

* Trained and experienced in Sampling and Pretreatment of Sample for Analysis, Operation Method and Maintenance of Analysis Equipment such as ICP-OES, AAS, XRF, Ion-Chromatography, Carbon-Sulfur Analyzer, Particle Size Analyzer, and Automatic Titrator.
* Involved in the commissioning of $180 million HPAL (High Pressure Acid Leach) Nickel Project.
* Successfully participated in the start-up and stabilization of laboratory instrument and equipments.
