1. Hand on experiences in laboratory and pilot studies for scaling up and sizing of different proprietary equipments of Dorr-Oliver and FFE Minerals viz. Crushing, Grinding, Classification via Screening and Hydrocyclone. Various solid liquid separation methods are Flotation cell and Column, Thickener (conventional and hi-rate), Rotary vacuum drum filter, Disc filter, horizontal belt filter and Pan filters. I have also an experience of developing flocculant and chemical dosing systems for the settlers in alumina refineries and flotation plants in copper / lead / zinc processing plant.

1. October 2005-Jan 2007, working as Manager – Process Engineering in FFE Minerals India Private Limited, Chennai, India.
Major Job Responsibilities: My involvements are mainly in development and design of different beneficiation routes / processes for different minerals and the various minerals are

* Lead, zinc and copper ores
The major involvement of the design and sizing of different proprietary equipment of FFE Minerals. Evaluation of the plant efficiency, cost effectiveness of the mineral processing plant using simulation tools MetSim and HYSIS.
Major Accomplishment:
a) Detail engineering of the project: Bauxite grinding system of Hindalco, Muri, India and milk of lime plant in Kuwait National Petroleum Project.
b) Process audit and development in the product requirement of Two rod mills at NIRMA, Gujarat, India.
c) Commissioning and operation of 2m dia X 11.0 M tube mill for grinding of desulphurisation compound at JAMIPOL, Toranagallu, Karnataka, India.
d) Operation and commissioning of bauxite grinding and hydrate filtration plants at Vedanta Alumina Limited, India.
e) Basic engineering of the 2X440 tph grinding and flotation plant of Konkala Copper Mines, Zambia.
2. June 2001- Sept 2005, as Manager-Technology in Hindustan Dorr-Oliver Limited, Mumbai, India.
Major Job Responsibilities: My major jobs are to develop suitable technology for different minerals and materials keeping in view with the various proprietary Dorr-Oliver equipment along with the system.
Major Accomplishment:
* Fully involved as team member in the Hirate thickener, alumina-hydrate thickener project of Greenfield Alumina project of Vedanta Alumina, Sterlite Industries Limited, Orissa, India.
* Feasibility study, Process and flow sheet developed for a 50tph sand washing plant for Ashapura Minechem, Mumbai, India.
* Test work conducted and process developed to recover the material as well as the utility water with suitable equipment for the Gas Cleaning plant of Essar Steel, Gujarat, India.
* Process evaluation and Process developed for the Leaching plant, thickening of uranium waste sludge and filtration of MDU as a product for the UCIL, Turamdih project, India.
* Operations, commissioning and performance trials of Settler and sand washing system at NALCO Expansion project, Damanjodi.
* Process and flowsheet developed for Anirox Pigment to recover iron oxide fine as a pigment grade application, India.
* Commissioning and operation of 30 tph sand washing plant at Lanja of AIGL, India. The special equipment Jet Sizer is in operation.
* Test work conducted and suitable process developed for 100 tph coal handling plant to recover the coal reject fines at ACC, Kymore, India.
* Feasibility study and process development of 20 tph kaolin clay processing plant at Bhuj, India.
* Test work conducted and process developed for unit operation consists of scrubbing, classification, thickening and filtration of English Indian Clay at Trivandrum, India.
3. April 1998- April 2001 as a Research Associate, Mineral Processing Technology division, Regional Research Laboratory, Bhubaneswar, India.
Major Involvement:
* Recovery of metal values of chromite from hydrocyclone overflow by using flocculation cum flotation technique for Orissa Mining Corporation, Kaliapani, Orissa, India.
* Physical separation of carbon and bath components from spent anode residue of smelter at NALCO, Angul, India.
* Study of surface properties of non-coking coal for effective separation from fine inorganic matter of MCL, Talcher, India.
* Dry beneficiation of high ash non-coking coal using dense media fluidised bed separator of CMPDI, Ranchi, India.
Exploratory works:
* Effect of packing of solid particles in coal water mixture for preparation of high concentration coal slurry for direct injection in the combustion process.
* Electrokinetic study of maceral (lithotypes) of coal to establish the separation parameter of ash with respect to coal in non-coking coal.
* Axial dispersion study in flotation column using graphite ore to establish the material transport phenomena in term of the mixing co-efficient in the recovery zone.
* Effect of anions on the electrokinetic behaviour of kaolinite, iron oxide, alumina and titania. This study was carried to establish the separation criteria of one in presence of other using selective flocculant.
* Upgradadtion of micaceous iron oxide to remove silca by conventional flotation.
4. June 1995 – April 1998 as Research Associate in Minerals and Materials Processing division of Tata Research Development and Design Center, Pune, India.

* Scientific design of chemical reagents for the separation of iron oxide, titania, kaolinite and alumina especially with oleates and hydroxamates.
* Design of reagent molecule for the separation of calcium mineral namely; calcite, fluorite, apatite and dolomite in the basis of molecular recognition mechanism.
