I am submitting my resume for your consideration. I have been responsible for many types of mining equipment from underground mining equipment, trucks, loaders, and drills to some of the largest models of heavy equipment used in open pit mining. My experience has included new mine start up and implementation of a planning department with 100% planned work order maintenance and 90% availability on critical mobile equipment. I have worked in both underground and open pit, union and non-union shops and I have been responsible for budgets in excess of 20 million dollars. I have a proven record of safety, cost control and production and have been responsible for improvement of maintenance practices to meet or remain under budget. I have implemented best maintenance practices to meet budgets and forecasts with a proven PM, Planning and PCR programs.

I have also worked with a mainframe computer systems to run maintenance with work order systems and warehousing using JDE (PeopleSoft) and MARCAM CMMS system. I have a good safety record with understanding of MSHA rules and regulations. 2007 safety incident rate was 3.36 for department which was below the national average.

I am looking for work that is challenging and rewarding in the maintenance field. I have many years of experience in maintenance and believe I can be an asset to any maintenance organization.

Experience
4/2005 to 5/2008- Mobile Maintenance Superintendent with responsibility for 370 pieces of underground mobile mining equipment. Responsible for annual budget of 25 million dollars. Manpower of 80 mechanics 15 staff, with an excellent safety record.

12/2004 to 4/2005-Temporary worked as the acting Mobile Maintenance Superintendent over all maintenance for surface and underground activities.

02/2004- General Maintenance Foreman - Responsible for all surface shops, Administration, Planning and Scheduling, for mobile Maintenance Department.

3/2003- /2/2004 -Maintenance Planner- Responsible for planning all major rebuilds and scheduled daily actives and PM's for all mobile maintenance.

3/2001 – 3/2003 - Stillwater Mining Company as a heavy-duty mechanic. Assigned duties include PM, field repairs and equipment and component rebuilds. Reassigned as part of an in house team to develop equipment and component rebuild procedures and warranty tracking for Stillwater's fleet of 300 plus units.

1/1995 - 12/1999. As a mid level manager for five years held several positions with BHP Nevada Mining Company until the operation was shut down in 1999. As Operations Coordinator, for one year managed road/bench expansions, drill/blast operations and crusher and conveying operations and maintenance with four frontline supervisors reporting to me. Planning Coordinator, for two years directing a department that consisted of four planners and four clerks. Where responsibilities included implementing procedures for improving mill production utilizing planned maintenance activities. Project Coordinator, for HR department to design and implement team productivity program for staff and employees, this assignment lasted for less than one year. Maintenance Planning Coordinator, for two years established tooling and critical spare requirements/procurement for mine and mill startup. Managed mine/mill-planning departments, establishing system procedures for predictive and preventive planned maintenance. Also supervised a frontline staff of four for Electrical, Surface Maintenance, Welding and Light Vehicle repairs.

4/1981 – 1/1995. At Magma Copper Company, Haultruck Supervisor for fleet maintenance activities for haul trucks, which included electrical, mechanical, welding and system, rebuilds from 1988 to 1995. Shop support mechanic maintaining haul trucks, loaders, dozers. Field support mechanic maintaining rotary drills, hydraulic shovels and dewatering pumps from 1985-1988. Mechanic-Electrician maintaining underground trolley system, diesel locomotives and battery operated locomotives from 1981-1985.
