WORK EXPERIENCE:

* 12/2006- Present: Staff Engineer, MATEC E&C Inc. Ashburn, VA.
Perform construction inspection services and geotechnical investigation works (field and lab), revise technicians' daily report, and manage data for monthly and quaternary report. Actively participate in the following full-time projects:
- Dulles Stations (Sheraton & Hyatt Hotel), Herndon, VA

- Public Safety Transportation Operation Center, Fairfax, VA

* 03/2006-11/2006: Sr. Engineering Technician, GeoConcepts Eng. Inc. Ashburn, VA.
Revised site drawings; inspected foundation, soil, steel rebar, concrete, performed soil & concrete sampling; checked soil bearing capacity etc… Participated in carrying out following full-time projects:

Responsibilities included to perform a variety of technical and scientific activities, such as: research of geologic mapping sites; conducting soil, rock, mineral, and water sampling; identification of rock samples under petrographic microscope; preparation of Soil & Rock core borings; evaluation and calculation of ore deposit reserve; development of new stratigraphic columns, geologic cross-sections and maps, presentations and reports.
Carried out series of key projects at different scales, but not limited to:
- Geological structure of Mekong delta (South Vietnam part): Interpreted, analyzed, and correlated hundreds of stratigraphic boring logs of the studied area. Worked in a team to develop 3D model structure for the delta. Calculated mineral reserve of many newly-discovered ore bodies such as: clay, peat, sand, and other non-metallic deposits.
- Magmatic rocks in South Vietnam Delta: Studied magmatic and other bed-rocks from drilling cores, their texture, structure, and composition, to discover and predict oil bearing ability, as well as other mineralization in the rocks.
- Gold exploration project in Lamdong Province, South Vietnam (Australia-Vietnam Joint-venture project): Worked in a team with Australian geologists to apply a new geochemical mineral exploration method.
- Molybdenum exploration project in Phanrang Province, South Vietnam: Managed drilling and geophysical works. Analyzed data and calculated ore deposits' reserve.
- Geologic mapping and Mineral exploration project of BenKhe-DongNai sheet: Focused on studying gold, copper, and other metallic mineralization, as well non-metallic deposits.
- Geologic mapping and Mineral exploration project of East Saigon city: Discovered several big quartz-vein gold deposits.
- Geologic mapping and Mineral exploration project of Khanh Hoa province sheet: Focused on studying both metallic and non-metallic mineralization.
- Urban geology project of LongAn - MyTho - BenTre cities: Succeeded in providing geotechnical and environmental data for urban planning.

* None degree, 60 credits in NOVA College and George Mason University.
* MS in Geology, University of Natural Sciences, Saigon city, Vietnam. Specialized in Petrography and Petrology (World Education Evaluation Ref # 516302/dsl).
