At Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd.
An environment company having its global presence in the field of Waste Management and single largest co in India rendering Waste Management and Environmental services. The value of Ramky Group is approx 6000 crores.

At its corporate office I am responsible for:

* Total ewaste solutions: Ramky is under process to commission its ewaste management facility at Banglore and Hyderabad. I am coordinating for designing, legislative compliance, process finalization, construction, erection and commissioning of the project within stipulated time frames. This facility will be under JV with Cimelia, Singapore.
* Ramky is coming up with 50000 TPA used lead acid recycling plant. Refinery for the same is at Sikkim and smelters will be at all 4 parts of country and 4 nos. smelting operations around the globe. I am heading the vertical by indentifying environment friendly technology, erection, commissioning and operations of the plants.
* Being an expert in environmental aspects of mining and metallurgical environmental issues I am helping my consultancy team on these type of EIA/EMP and other consultancy projects.
* At corporate office I am also responsible for coordinating "Integrated Environmental Services" rendered by my company at various industries, SEZ's, commercial complexes.

At Hindustan Zinc Ltd.
A multi unit organisation which is leader in strategic non- ferrous metal production. It is the 6th largest company in the world for this business and a part of Vedanta Group which is a multi national and multi organisation ferrous-non ferrous company and listed at LSE.

* Implementation of EHS management plan, preparation of EOHSQ policy, integrated member of project (Thermal Power Plant & Zinc Smelter) team during project.
* Having good knowledge of Act and Laws of Environment and amendments thereon.
* Liaison with State Pollution Control Board, Ministry of Env. & Forest, Factory Inspectorate & other Govt. departments as per statutory requirement.
* Preparation of Environment Impact Assessment & Environment Management Plan for expansion project for new zinc/lead smelter (3 Nos.) & Asia's largest Lead-Zinc deposit (2 Nos.).
* RA Mine granted Air ¡V Water consent to operate, Env. Clearance for expansion project, dealt with 2 nos. public hearings. At Smelter we got Air-Water consent for enhancement, all statutory clearances for enhancement and new projects (smelter & CPP), during my tenure. Involved in all the project related activities i.e. ISO certification, statutory compliances for new projects. Inspection and installation of pollution control equipments, secured land fill designing and construction, green belt development etc. Prepared the presentation for env. Clearance from MoEF and member of team nominated for presentation, headed by MD of Co.
* Nicely organize the visits/inspections of Senior govt. officials/authorities from CPCB, MoEF, Factory inspector, Raj. State Pollution Control board and external / surveillance auditors for ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001, due diligence, etc.
* Responsible for 100% legal compliance against EHS legislation and even beyond that for sustainable development.
* Involved in the preparation of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 documentation, presentation and training and within a short period of 9 months Rampura Agucha Mine as well as Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter recommended for certification by RINA, Mumbai.
* Ash Management: Fly ash utilization, use of fly ash in cement manufacturing, Collection-reception-transportation-disposal of fly and bottom ash, legal requirements related to ash etc. Ash Mound management (since designing and construction) including dust suppression system, R&D for bottom ash utilization for Brick manufacturing, road constructions, back filling, blending with concrete etc. At our company we are maintaining zero ash stock every time.
* Solid / HW management ¡V Reduction in waste generation, recycle, reuse, utilization of wastes. Utilization of Pb-Zn slag in cement, road construction etc. Collected and provided data regarding slag utilization practices world wide and liaison with SPCB, CPCB & MoEF for permission to utilize Haz. wastes. Work for construction, commissioning, operation, monitoring, maintenance, optimization of secured land fill and other HW / solid waste disposal facilities. Involved in planning of new disposal facility with technology up gradation absolutely as per legal requirements. Owner for environment laboratory. Our unit has visited by Supreme Court Monitoring Committee in recent past and they also have appreciated our HW Management system.
* Other important jobs o Participated in preparation of sustainability report o Nominated as CDM champion for my unit, one CDM project already registered at UNFCC.
o Monitoring of water, soil, stack, ambient air.
