SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Technical Background
Field trained in Canada in a broad range of exploration techniques spanning the geological, geochemical and geophysical disciplines that have been refined through practical application under a wide variety of conditions and environments.

Leadership
Combined interpersonal and technical skills to effectively achieve objectives in a broad variety of cultural and geological environments.
* Reorganized the Las Cuevas exploration staff (Mexico, 1979) resulting in the discovery and delineation of the Morris gold deposit by nationals.
* Directed a small team of national professionals based in Mullingar, Ireland (1980 – 83) dedicated to the simultaneous delineation drilling of two significant Pb/Zn deposits.
* As Regional Manager of Eastern Canada for Noranda (1992-94) was responsible for effective use of yearly CDN 23 million budget and supervision of over 120 employees.
* Opened efficient exploration office (Peru, 1994-98) for Noranda largely dedicated to evaluation of privatization opportunities and advanced acquisitions
* Operated cost effective exploration program for Normandy (Peru, 1998-2002) integrating a team of ex-pat consultants and national staff to generate grassroots gold properties for Normandy
* Responsible for organization and implementation of aggressive uranium exploration program in the arctic for UNOR (Nunavut 2004-present)

Involved in successfully negotiated complex property agreements and joint ventures as part of the strategy to increase ore reserves and acquire quality projects
* Secured significant flow through funding from Juniors to increase overall Noranda budget for Southern BC (1984-86) and Eastern Canada (1986-94) projects
* Acquisition of Stratmat Pb/Zn deposit (Bathurst Camp, 1988) from Cominco
* Acquisition of Half Mile Lake Pb/Zn deposit (Bathurst Camp, 1989) from Conwest

* Acquisition of 33.5% interest in Antamina Cu/Zn deposit(Peru, 1998) from Inmet/Teck
* Participation in successful sale of Normandy assets to Newmont (Peru, 2002)
* Sale of 19.7% interest of UNOR capital to Cameco and negotiation of JV agreements with Cameco and Adriana Resources to significantly expand Hornby Bay basin uranium property (Nunavut, 2006)
