The General election 2004 was a moment of change on political dynamic in Indonesia. With direct and open election system according to the community, legislative member candidates are compete to get people trust and mobilization. It was needed to see whether the candidates are really recognized by the people of the community for their profiles, programs, and hopes or not, and whether they are able to communicate their voter aspirations or not.

Polling was conducted by IRE-Ideas in 5 districts/cities in Yogyakarta Special Province and using random sampling multistage method for 3 months. During the polling, I was helped by 2 field staffs.

Responsibilities:
- Manage of surveyors in each area and support their needs.
- Coordinate the outputs of the surveyor activities and to assist the problem solving faced by the surveyor in the field.
- Monitor field data and synchronized them to the data analysts.

Pawarta (Paguyuban Warga Yogyakarta – Community of Yogyakarta Organization) is NGO consortium and community organization. The aim of organization is to develop of civil society in Yogyakarta. The focus programs are Cobild (Community Build and Local Initiative for Housing Development) specific program for revolving fund management on housing and Combine (Community Based Information Network) specific program for community information system.

COMBINE Project is one of the efforts for strengthening local organization using information system that develop in the community. The Projects are located at North Jakarta, Bandung and Yogyakarta. There are four areas in Yogyakarta use for the project. The four areas are Malioboro Square, Papringan Village, Terban Village and Timbulharjo Village. This program support and connect by Information Technology on mailing list. The activities on each either area could participate and knows the program.

From the assistance and mapping models conducted in Terban Village we can conclude that there are two information system patterns developed by the community, that are information system from local organization use as information media within the community to facilitate the community needs and PINTER (Pengembangan Informasi Terpadu), and talking and hearing culture develop by the community radio information media manage by the community it self.
