INTRODUCTION
I am a very loyal, ambitious and motivated person, who has always strived to achieve every challenge set before me. I am looking for permanent work that will allow me more time with my family. To achieve this I am particularly interested in returning to the Oil and Gas industry on an equal time rotation, however would be willing to do extra time as needed. My roles in the last couple of years have been mainly supervisory but I am looking forward to not only supervising but having more hands on time as well. Continuing in the mining industry would still be considered dependant on the security and career options available.
I have always committed 110% to all of my employers and believe strongly in working with them not just for them!
I have completed a diploma of business management and I am in a senior management role at present and thrive on success. Also for 2009 I have enrolled to study Project Management (CAPM) with the Project Management Institute to gain a world-recognised certification.
Recent history was on the FMG Pilbara Rail Project working with BGC Contracting as the Plant Manager and was also working at the Newmont Boddington Gold Mine (open pit) Expansion Project as the Relief Maintenance Superintendent prior to working in the Pilbara.
My commitment to safety and the environment is unsurpassed. Sandvik Mining and Construction as a Project Manager in W.A on the Barrick Gold Lawler's site for Sandvik Mining and Construction Australia Pty Ltd on a FIFO ex-Brisbane 8/6 roster. TAKRAF Australia as General Manager Maintenance Services.

I am also responsible for the entire work area between CH80-150 in relation to all plant equipment and contractors, which at any given time was around 150-200 staff.
Also given the nature of the project and completion schedule, I would assist in equipment repairs hands-on and also diagnosis and field service breakdowns. This I felt was imperative due to the skills shortage and limited labour resources, OEM fitters could take up to 2-3days to arrive on-site which would have dramatically affected production and not therefore acceptable when I was capable of carrying out the repairs myself.
BGC Contracting are also one of W.A's largest Komatsu equipment owners and purchasers, which gave me a lot of exposure to Komatsu mobile equipment and maintenance procedures. Example of equipment was Cat 777's, 769's, Komatsu 785's, PC1200's, PC3000's, and PC800's, Hitachi EX1850 and other various plant equipment on-site with an overall average of around three hundred items of plant including mobile, fixed plant and auxiliary at any time.
This role was carried out in close conjunction with direct reporting to the Project Manager and attendance at all client and construction meetings was mandatory, this allowed me to also gain much experience in the Project Management structure. And also great exposure to the contracts and financial management of the project.

Throughout that period we also conducted several rebuilds and Preventative Maintenance on Caterpillar V-16's under subcontract for Hastings Deering (qld) that work was carried out on Shelf Drilling's floating rigs out in Bass Strait.
After completing the contract for the V-16's, we were then contracted for around 5 ½ years more to carry out Mechanical Maintenance work on various Off-Shore Drilling and Production rigs in Bass Strait.
Road Transport exposure also included engine rebuilds on Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit and Mack engines. Gearbox rebuilds were Spicer, Road ranger and Mack. Trailer repairs including complete suspension overhauls and brake relines.
I was also very competent in the operation of all equipment and ensured that all safety procedures were followed by all staff at all times.
Minimising downtime through correct diagnosis and by using the appropriate methods and procedures was one of my main focuses.
All job allocations and job costing and customer contact were one of my main roles in the supervisory position, providing a high standard of preventative maintenance services and minimising equipment downtime was a high priority at all times (with safety being the highest priority)
All mine related field service was carried out in conjunction with mining operations department personally to enable the client to be fully aware of all equipment undergoing repair and the times that the equipment would be available for use, so as to minimise the effect on production.
