Operations Director
Astra Star started operating the HRI-700Ñ rig in early 2008 and added 2 IRI-5000MR Range 3 Super-Single Rigs to its fleet through the acquisition of Brinkerhoff Drilling (Canada) later same year. All rigs were mobilized and put into operation in 2008 for turnkey and daywork drilling projects in Kazakhstan.
Key responsibilities include:
* Manage operations to meet performance objectives; monitor and report on key performance indicators; and assist in presentations;
* Ensure HSE, efficiency and profitability of the rigs including client relationship management;
* Provide drilling engineering support to the drilling teams;
* Provide ongoing contact with operations/field personnel to enhance performance;
* Assist in the measurement and analysis of competitor/company performance and in performance-related operational area audits (quality, maintenance, etc.);

Drilling Engineer / Drilling Supervisor
Phase 2B – 30 well (2004) & Phase 3 – 100 well drilling program (2005) & 115 well drilling program (2006).
Well planning, engineering & rig supervision of Phase 2B & Phase 3 drilling programs in the North Buzachi operations utilizing MAIX rig & Great Wall Drilling Company's ZJ30c and SOILMEC MR5000 (Rigs 17, 40 Rotary & 41 Varco TDS) land rigs & Burgylau LLP MBU-125 drilling rig. Coordinated upgrading Burgylau LLP MBU-125 drilling rig as per corporate & industry standards.
Worked as a drilling engineer during the Phase 2B (2004) and then as a drilling supervisor on turnkey (Sep-2004) and dayrate (2005) contract drilling rigs during Phase 3 drilling program.

* Interpreted open-hole logs and recommended perforation intervals for producer as well as water injector recompletions.
