A Steckel rolling mill is a compact plant with an annual capacity of up to 1 million ton.
It consists of Furnace plant with automatic slab charging from heat holding pits, Descale for surface treatment, Reversing rougher with edger, Transfer bar pusher for discharging transfer bars, Cropping shear, Steckel stand with entry- and exit-side Steckel furnaces,3 finishing stands with hydraulic adjusting systems, hydraulic loppers and CVC plus® technology, Automatic roll change for the new finishing stands, Multi-functional measuring device (thickness, width, profile, flatness, temperatures), Laminar strip cooling, Coiler with Automatic Step Control,

The system consists of 12,000 digital and 6,000 analog Input/Output [I/O] signals,. This server-based, object-oriented design combined with the corresponding objects in ControlLogix makes the system functionally equivalent and essentially better than a DCS in a much more cost effective way.
The supplier's solution effectively utilizes the user-defined structures in ControLogix to model each type of equipment in the plant, including conveyors, control valves, diverters, dampers and others. This unique approach to control brings tremendous simplicity to software design and makes the system highly modular.

Five human machine interface (HMI) stations run the Rockwell Software RSView32 SCADA system, providing integrated component-based monitoring and control functionality via a fully redundant Ethernet link to ControlLogix. Milk Industry Automation: -
At the heart of the system is a redundant Allen-Bradley Control Logix platform, which communicates to analog and digital I/O on ControlNet, a producer-consumer communication network. Human machine interface is provided through RSView32 software operating in server-client configurations and the entire plant is networked with ControlNet and RSView floating clients. Milk transportation flow is controlled through Rockwell Automation 1336 Plus2 variable-speed drives. Plant- Floor data and historical information is also integrated to the plant's business systems.
Batch in Oil (Food Oil)
Batch provides efficient, predictable operation of batch processing, consistency between batches and generation of event information during batch runs. Leveraging S88 methodology and the principles of modular batch automation, users can reuse code, recipes, phases and logic between processes with similar procedures. RSBizWare Batch also allows users to generate batch logs that can be utilized to create reports for batch production analysis. This data can be distributed seamlessly across the enterprise to optimize operations
