* Continuously review, research and update the company's Safe Work Procedure Manual and Safety Management Plan including
* Amalgamation with joint venture submissions
* Discussions with management and supervisors regarding the practical implementation of the procedures and policies
* Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Conduct surveys to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety and environmental conditions. Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices. Provide advice and counsel concerning all state and federal compliance regulations.
* Develop controls for identified hazards. Coordinate the implementation of controls from results of hazard analysis. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate work place accidents and injuries.
* Direct or assist in the development of specialised education and training materials. Conduct specialised health, safety and environmental training programs to communicate hazard control information.
* Compile, analyse, interpret and report accident, loss, and exposure statistical data; prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
* Review injury and property damage reports. Coordinate and manage Rehabilitation, Workers Compensation and Return to Work programs.
* Develop and maintain competency and compliance database. Provide counsel to operations department and assist with scheduling and completing of competency and compliance requirements.
* Develop and maintain statistical reporting of key performance indicators for Goldfields Crane Hire and contracted clients. Deliver analysed information quarterly.
