Training Program for Lead-Zinc Deposits
These Training programs were arranged by the UNDP and visited various LEAD-ZINC Projects in Europe and submitted the report to UNDP, PMDC.
Lead Zinc Project in Germany in 1991
Visited many Lead Zinc Projects in Germany for getting technical training and knowledge.During visit the drilling Core of various deposits were also studied and submitted the technical report to PMDC/ Ministry.
Lead Zinc in Ireland in 1991
Visited important deposits of Lead Zinc in Ireland and studied technical data of these deposits and technical report submitted after arrival Pakistan.
Study of Lead Zinc in UK in 1991
Attended the lectures and studied the technical data's on various Lead Zinc deposits in Geological Survey of London England.
Exploration of Copper, 1994 a course in Paris (France)

Lakhra Coal Development Company (LCDC)

Managing Director LCDC March 2003 to March 2006
Deputed as Chief Executive / Managing Director of LCDC by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Recourses Govt of Pakistan in March 2003 and Retired on March 2006 from the service.

Job description
As Managing Director / Chief Executive of the Company was responsible for the entire Technical, administrative, financial and commercial activities of the company. As Managing Director responsible to implement all policies of the LCDC Board of Director. The main job of the company was to supply Coal from Lakhra Coal field to WAPDA Thermal Power Plant as per its requirement therefore, it was the prime duty to arrange proper extraction / production of coal according to the targets and requirement of WAPDA power plant so that working of Power Plant may not be suffered in any way due to shortage of coal.
During the tenure improved the production / sales & profitability of LCDC with strict Quality control. During the period all the coalmines were properly surveyed and new points were started for development keeping in view the future increasing demand of coal. The company was remained in profit during the entire tenure and declared dividends to its shareholders each year.

Thar Coal 2003-2005
Worked as one of the member of Technical Committee during 2003-05 constituted by the Government of Sindh for technical guidance and suggestions for the work, which was carried out by M/s RHEINBRAUN Engineering of Germany for making feasibility report on coal for the establishment of 1000 mw Power Plant in Thar.

Member of Technical Committee for Shaft Sinking in Thar Coal Field. March 2003 – March 2006
Associated as permanents member with Technical Committee constituted by the Federal Government for observation and giving technical guidance/suggestions during the work of shaft sinking in Thar Coal Field. The main purpose of Shaft was to collect coal samples for trial basis.

Lakhra Coal Development Company (LCDC) Oct 2002 to March 2003
Joined Lakhra Coal Development Company in October 2002 as Dy.General Manager and was responsible for all technical activities and sale of Coal to WAPDA and in local market.

PMDC Branch Office Lahore Nov 2000 to Oct 2002
* Posted as Deputy General Manager (Commercial) at PMDC branch office Lahore and was responsible for local sale of rock salt as well as export of salt to India.
* To look after technical (Geological problems) being faced during the operation of PMDC, Khewra Salt Mine.
* To have liaison with the Government of Punjab.

PMDC Branch Office Karachi 1998 - 2000
Posted at Karachi as resident representative and the major duties were as under:-
* Looked after the activities of Duddar Lead Zinc Project after the departure of Pasminco.
* Worked as Project Manager for Dua Dam Silica Sand project Sindh and responsible for its exploration & its sale.
* To have liaison with the government of Sindh.

PMDC Head Office Islamabad 1997 - 1998
Worked in PMDC Head Office, Islamabad in Exploration & Planning department as Dy. Chief Geologist and was responsible to prepare new schemes of Exploration projects and to monitor the progress of all the exploration projects, which were in operation.

Duddar Lead Zinc Project 1994-96 PASMINCO
In May 1994 the project of Duddar Lead Zinc was transferred to Pasminco. One of Well-known Australian Firm dealing in Lead Zinc through out the world. It was one of the biggest projects of PMDC. I jointed the Pasminco immediately after the departure of UNDP and worked as Manager of Duddar Lead Zinc site area and was responsible for all administrative as well as for all technical & logistic support. During investigation about 14 million tons of Lead Zinc deposits were proved. The Pasminco submitted a report.

Duddar Lead Zinc Project in Baluchistan 1989 - 94
From 1989 to 1994 associated with UNDP and worked on Duddar Lead Zinc Project. Mostly associated with drilling and lot of logging work carried out including detail study of Lead Zinc Drill Core and its correlation, also responsible for environmental studies of the working area and reports submitted to UNDP on quarterly basis.

Planning & Development Department of PMDC 1982 - 1988
Worked in planning & Exploration Department of PMDC from 1982-87 and prepared lot of schemes for various projects implemented by the PMDC and also responsible for other planning works etc.

Lakhra Coal Project Sindh 1978 - 1981
Again deputed on Lakhra Coal field with Japan International Cooperative (JICA) and worked with them a lot of technical work carried out. 50 drill holes were drilled and about 15,000 feet drilling were completed in addition to other geological work. A comprehensive feasibility report submitted to PMDC and Ministry by JICA. I was associated in that report also.

Gemstone & Various other Minerals 1975 – 1977
Two projects Hunza Ruby and Swat Emerald were in operation during this period. I was not directly involved in the projects however was responsible to provide all logistic support As well as to examine the progress of the projects (Production) because at that period I was working in head office Karachi directly under the administrative control of the chief of Exploration/Planning in PMDC. A cutting and polishing section was also established in PIDC house during the same period under the same roof. I was also looking its day-to-day problems and responsible to examine the progress of the section.
Participated/Attended the three days Exhibition of Gemstone arranged by the Gemstone Corporation in PC Hotel Karachi on Special invitation. A lot of work on gypsum, fireclay, Limestone, Chalk and on dolomite was carried out in different parts the Sindh Province and report submitted.

Lakhra Coal Project Sindh 1973 - 1975
Worked at Lakhra Coal Project and a lot of Geological and topo-geological mapping was carried out including measurement of various sections including drilling work. A joint report was submitted to PMDC.

Silica Sand Projects Sindh 1971 - 1973
Worked on Silica Sand Project at Dau Dam Thana Bulla Khan (Sindh) and prepared topographic map and calculated the reserves of various quality of glass sand and comprehensive report submitted.

PIDC/PMDC Aug 1971
Joined PIDC on 31st August 1971 as Assistant Geologist and worked on above Projects / Assignments.

WAPDA May 1970 to Aug 1971
Joined WAPDA as Junior Geologist at Tarbela Dam in May 1970 and worked up to 20th August 1971. Main job was subsurface investigation, selection of drill holes, logging, Mapping and Rock classification and other related technical jobs.

Attended / Participated in number of national / international seminars & Conferences held in various cities of Pakistan on various topics of concerned subject especially on Coal.
