Responsibility inside a corporate level project for standardizing technical specifications of materials used as raw materials on Honeywell's aircraft engines through a joint effort with Materials and Processes Engineering, Supply Chain, Advanced Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing departments at a global level inside Honeywell. Responsible for airborne part performance's critical processes (Fixed Processes) from Phoenix - Chihuahua transition. Electro Discharge Machining (EDM) and Control Process Machining (CPM) processes responsible. Heat Treatment (HT) & Shot Peening processes support. Ni and Ti base alloys, steels (carbon, low alloy, stainless) knowledge.
oReduction of specifications' number inside the enterprise, as well as the suppliers' number for engine manufacturing, and therefore, achieving savings for more than 120 MUSD (expected). Volume of purchased steel was reduced around 21%. Achievement of Phoenix's high standards for manufacturing critical aircraft parts in Chihuahua. AS 9100 certified, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) / Cause Analysis & Mistake Proofing (CAMP) certified, Electro Discharge Machining (EDM), Heat Treatment (HT) and Shot Peening NADCAP/NUCAP audits successful on-site support.

Project leader in order to develop a model that could predict the cut process final contour of the steel sheet through a deep understanding of the broken edge defect, i.e., its origins and its mechanism during the sheet edge trimming process, by means of metallurgical, mechanical and finite element method (FEM) studies.
oCreation of an industrial-based enhanced model from the relationship between edge trimming process and mechanical/metallurgical properties of the rolled steels. Predicting the shape of the edge trimmed steel sheet, vanishing the presence of the defect and lowering the cut tool wear rate. This defect cost more than 500K USD annually to the company (2005).
