Work History
January 1996 - November 1, 2001 TILCON New York Inc. (Division of CRH, Dublin, Ireland) West Nyack, New York 10994. TILCON New York Inc. purchased "Millington Affiliated" of New Jersey in July of 1999. TILCON and Millington Affiliated are construction materials producers and suppliers of aggregates (sand, gravel, stone), asphalt paving products, and road paving / construction.
Area / Operations Manager (Senior Staff Position) of 4 quarries, 4 asphalt plants and 3 concrete, asphalt and asphalt shingle-recycling plants. Producing 4 million TPY of aggregates, 1.5 million tons of asphalt and 1 million tons of recycled materials. Managing 4 Plant Managers, Electrical Engineering Staff and over 100 union hourly and staff. Profit and loss responsibility for up to $20 million operating budget.
Responsible for all phases of these operations. Improved efficiencies at all locations, reducing downtime, lowering costs. Successfully reduced drilling and blasting costs by over 30 percent through contract negotiations and partnering with vendors. Improved Safety record through utilization of proven safety standards. Was member of Corporate "Best Practices" Operations Committee. Won numerous awards for Safety, beautification, environmental, and public relations.

General Superintendent of 3 quarries producing 3-4 million TPY of granite and 1 remote shipping yard, managed 3 Plant Managers and over 100 non - union hourly and staff. Member of “Corporate Procurement Team“.
