Group General Manager
Appointed to this position in April 2006. The company is the investment arm of the Middle Fly River Development Foundation Trust. This trust is established by OK Tedi Mining Limited under the Community Mine Continuation Agreement (CMCA) representing the interests of the people of the Middle Fly River area of the Western Province.
The company is a newly established entity and commenced operations by acquiring the interests of a liquidated company, KT Plumbing Limited in 2004. As at August 2006, the company has operating interests in the following subsidiaries;-
„« Flood Plains Engineering Ltd ¡V 100% owned, Engineering Services Operations.
„« Flood Plains Merchandising Ltd ¡V 100% owned, Retail, Wholesale and Hardware Operations.
„« Fly River Shipping Ltd ¡V 100% owned, Coastal Shipping Operations.
This is a new commercial entity and the Group General Manager's (GGM) primary role is to manage these newly created investments to nurture and guide them become operating commercial entities. The GGM's responsibilities also covers appraisal of new investment opportunities in emerging market suitations in positioning the company for the future. This is based on a long term business plan adopted by the board of directors and shareholders.
As the management head of the holding company, the GGM is also a member of the Board of Directors of all subsidiary companies to contribute to the effective management of these operations.
At the time of joining, the investment scene covering the Western Province was poised for growth with planned expenditure by OK Tedi Mining Limited's major shareholders, the PNG Sustainable Development Fund on capital infrastructure, social services and commercial investment interests. This expenditure was targeted over K500 million now and after the life of the OK Tedi mine for the future of the people in this region.
Flood Plains Limited investment interests are directed to take advantage of these commercial opportunities by undertaking the developments that promotes these programmes in this process earning a return for its shareholders.

General Manager since May 2002 of the company which is the business arm of the East New Britain Provincial Government. The company operates as parent company owning operating businesses, wholly owned and joint ventures in PNG. The group as a consolidated entity has a total market value of K40 million as at December 2005. Its subsidiary companies are as indicated below.
„« Andersons Foodland Ltd ¡V 100% owned, Supermarket chain.
„« ENB Port Services Ltd ¡V 50% owned, Stevedoring & Transport.
„« ENB Supermarkets Ltd ¡V 50% owned, Supermarkets Port Moresby.
„« Dawapia Constructions Ltd ¡V 100% owned, Building Construction.
The General Manager is responsible for the management of newly created investments to nurture and guide these investments to become wholly operational business entities. At the time of joining, I was involved in the reviving of construction business, Dawapia Constructions Limited. This investment was heavily indebt caused by poor past management and the requirement is to either revive this business or to wind down its operation based on financial viability.
The General Manager's responsibilities also covers appraisal of new investment opportunities in future. This is based on a long term business plan adopted by the company and directed by the company's board of directors.
As the management head of the holding company, the General manager is required to be a member of the Board of Directors of all subsidiary companies and to contribute to the effective management of these operations

Managing Director
Managing Director since October 2000 of the company which is owned by the West New Britain Provincial Government. The company operates as parent company owning properties, businesses and land with a market value of over K10 million. Its subsidiary companies are as indicated below.
„« Kimbe Enterprises Ltd, 100% owned by the parent company involved in super market retail business in the township of Kimbe. Turnover of this business is K6 million on an average year.
„« The company has investments in a Hardware business through a 100% owned subsidiary West New Building Supplies Ltd and a wholesale business Kimbe Wholesale Limited. Trading in these businesses over the last 5 years has not been profitable.
„« Kimbe Wholesale Ltd, a new company established in 1999 trading as a wholesale business.
„« In 2001 the company invested in hotel business in joint partnership with Airways Motels Limited. Kimbe Hotels Ltd, now owns and operates a hotel in Kimbe, the product of this shareholding.
„« Member of the board of directors of Cape Hollman Corporation Ltd and Kimbe Bay Hotels Ltd.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, my responsibility covered the overall management of the day to day operations, administrative and financial management of all businesses. Kimbe Bay Hotels however is managed by Airways Motels Ltd under a management agreement between shareholders.

Commercial Manager
The company is the largest producer of palm oil products in Papua New Guinea, with yields approximately 60% above world averages and has operated profitably over the last 15 years. The company is also the biggest private sector employer and has diversified operations covering plantation production, crop cartage, building construction, engineering research and development and export sales management.
During an employment period of 14 years with the company, I had been involved in various responsibilities including the following;-
„« Member of the company's senior management committee, which is responsible for the overall management of all aspects of the business. This covered all matters of policy, administration, operations and investments by the company.
„« Member of the due delligence committee in the initial public offering of the company in 1996 and 1999. The 1996 offering failed as shareholders decided on a private sale option. The 1999 offering was withdrawn by shareholders due to uncertain political climate created by the mid-year change in government causing uncertainty amongst investors.
„« Introduced and created the company's central purchasing and inventory management department. This realized the synergies both in price and cost savings attributed to the company's total purchasing power of approximately K20 million each year.
„« Managed the sales and export department of the company, which was localized by myself in 1990. This responsibility involved the selling and export of crude palm oil products, crude palm oil, palm kernel oil, and palm kernel expeller to overseas customers. The financial value of this transactions exceeds K150 million each year.
„« Set up a local landowner company Zilarou Stevedores Limited, now a licensed stevedoring operation within the port of Kimbe. This involved a K200,000 interest free loan negotiated with New Britain Palm Oil Ltd as initial set-up capital.
„« Corporate representative to the Business Council of Papua New Guinea.
„« Corporate representative to the Commonwealth Business Council, United Kingdom.
Chairman of the Kimbe PNG Harbours Board Port Advisory Committee.

Sales and Export Manager
Harrisons & Crosfield (PNG) Ltd were than the shareholders and managing agents of New Britain Palm Oil Limited. Under their auspices, the following were my responsibilities;-
„« Managed the sales and export department of the company, involved in the selling and export of crude palm oil products, crude palm oil, palm kernel oil, and palm kernel expeller to overseas customers. The financial value of this transactions exceeds K50 million each year.
„« Researched and established an export market for palm kernel expeller as an animal feed substitute with customers in Brisbane Australia. This business return a K1 million profit yearly as determined by the feed market.
„« Managed the sale and export of oil palm seeds to oil palm growing companies in PNG and overseas. This business return over K3 million profit yearly as determined by demand in Indonesia and Malaysia.
„« Managed the oil palm freight carriage agreements entered into with shipping companies. This covered the carrage and handling of all oil palm products within established trade practices from Kimbe to discharge ports.
„« Managed the shipping agency business in the port of Kimbe based on agency management agreements with six overseas shipowner companies.
„« Managed the fuel distribution agency business in Kimbe based on an agreements with BP Oil PNG Limited. This business was worth over K2 million to BP PNG Limited.
Secretary to the Papua New Guinea Oil Palm Producers Association
This responsibility involved the representation of the oil palm industry in PNG on International trade matters and any PNG government legislation affecting the industry.
Secretary to the Papua New Guinea Oil Palm Research Association
This responsibility involved the managing of corporate affairs of the Association which is managed by a Research Director with offices in all oil palm growing areas in PNG.
Travelled extensively abroad visiting the company's customers and third parties involved in the trade of vegetable oils. This included trade shows and trade presentations and lectures on behalf of New Britain Palm Oil Limited and the Oil Palm Industry in Papua New Guinea.
