ABOUT HINDALCO INDUSTRIES: M/s. INDO GULF CORPORATION LTD. now HINDALCO INDUSTRIES LTD is the blue chip company of Aditya Birla Group of Companies having overall turnover of Rs.3000 crores/year. And Birla Copper is India's largest manufacturing of LME Grade Copper (5 lace TPA) having series of byproducts like Sulphuric Acid (4 lace TPA), Phosphoric Acid (2 lace TPA), Di-Ammonium Phosphate (5 lace TPA), Gold (7 TPA) and Silver (150 TPA).
JOB RESPONSIBILITY: During of the project work with Head of laboratory department set up Wet Chemical laboratory, Instrument laboratory and Fire Assay laboratory. I am maintaining chemical store and glassware inventory. I am also familiar with all computer application required for laboratory. Knowledge of laboratory information management service for total set-up computerized laboratory.

X-RAY FLORESCENCE SPECTROMETER (ARL 9400)
I am operating Model 9400 - Wavelength Disperse sequential x-ray spectrometer used for copper and copper alloy base, copper concentrate, ore, copper dust, copper cement, copper reverts, copper filter press, copper scrap, electronic scrap, brass scrap and process samples like copper slag, matte, converter copper, blister copper, anode copper and charge preparation samples. I use also XRF for Barytes, Silica, Gypsum, Lime stone, Zinc dust, soil and iron pyrite analysis.
I have the hands on experience and expertise for sample preparation system for XRF uses like binder use, metal polishing, glass sample and compact sample. I am using ASQ program analysis regularly for unknown samples as fast scan analysis.
OPTICAL EMISSION SPECTROMETER (ARL 4460),
OES spark model 4460 for copper matrix with 20 channels for electrolytic grade copper cathode and anode copper analysis. For cathode analysis samples prepared by melting in induction furnace with positive pressure of nitrogen. After casting, sample is polished by Herzog milling mill and analyzed. Day to day standardization, standard preservation and selection.
LECO OXYGEN ANALYZER- DR RO 416 AND 116
LECO CARBON SULPHUR ANALYZER- CS200
This instrument is use for oxygen analysis in metal like anode copper and cathode copper; sulfur analyzer is used for sulfur in metal and scrap. I have hands on experience for both instruments operation.
FLAME ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROPHOTOMETER-VARIAN
I am operating Varian spectra 880 model for liquid samples like electrolytes, water, effluent, metal, slime, copper concentrate, ore, purification samples from electro refinery and raw material samples for commercial purpose. I have this instrument with additional facility of sips-10 on line dilution system and GTA- Graphite tube analyzer for 2800 'C temp. for ppb analysis. I am analyzing all few weight commercial samples on FAAS-GTA.

I have experience for Electro analyzer using in electro plating by platinum electrode for pure copper, scrap, electrolytic tough pitch copper and fire assay copper analysis after treatment.

* I am analyzing by method of chemicals and with instruments Lime stone, Hydrated lime, Silica, Gypsum, sludge, filter press, coal, coke breeze, Barium Sulfate, copper sulfate, Anode slime, electrolyte, Liberated copper cathode, slag, process reverts, diff. Metals, scrap, copper wires, concentrates, cements, ashes and residues, Furnace oil, acids, and all other related samples.
* I am analyzing copper, iron, silica, alumina, and sulfur by chemical volumetric and gravimetric analysis and for trace elements I am using sample digestion and preparing solution for AAS analysis and analyze the sample in AAS with the help of standard samples. Other chemical analysis handling for chloride, sulfate, gypsum, acid, caustic, effluent, water, dm water, oil, boiler water, drinking water and all process related samples.
* I have prepared a secondary standard sample for standard (MBH) saving and for internal routine analysis in all instruments.
* I am working for fire assay analysis for copper, gold and silver in copper concentrate, ores, reverts and anode slime in our special set up of fire assay laboratory.
* I have established the net work connection for all instruments report generation and for general routine and special maintenance.
* I am maintaining chemical store, glassware inventory and all quality gases consumption.
* I am maintaining safety PPEs and first aid treatment system for lab safety
