METAL EXPORT SUPERVISOR - CHAMBISHI METALS PLC (JAN 2002 TO FEB 2009)
Planning and organising dispatches of cobalt metal to overseas customers.
.Resolving customer complaints on metal quality, providing technical assistance to the Marketing department which is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Issuing customer weekly report to Chambishi Metals management on the customer requirement in terms of quantity and quality.

ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT - NKANA COBALT PLANT (1999 -2001)
Organised and controlled plant operations of the Roaster furnace, leaching circuit, copper electrowinning and cobalt refinery to ensure copper and cobalt production targets were achieved as efficiently as possible within budgeted cost.
„« Acting Superintendent when the incumbent was away - 1999-2001.
„« Suggested and implemented an alternative system of Roaster furnace feed preparation to avoid disruption in production.
„« Improved copper tankhouse current efficiencies by introducing a clarifier.
„« Re-engineered the copper tankhouse in order to remove decopperisation constraint and hence increased cobalt input to cobalt refinery.
„« Improved copper/cobalt sulphide converted to soluble copper/cobalt oxide/sulphate by maximizing on blower air and proper temperature control.
„« Introduced a new method of preparing the Roaster furnace for startup after a prolonged overhaul period resulting in reduced downtime by 7 days.
„« Redesigned the method of feeding the concentrate slurry to the Roaster furnace and hence reduced on double handling of material.

„« Managed a crisis team efficiently in order resuscitate Roaster furnace and Acid plant operations when the electrical substation was damaged by fire. The plants were back on line within four days without affecting the quality of finished cobalt and copper products.
