JOB PROFILE
* Working in shift and taking the charge of plant from previous shift in charge. Responsibility of running the production smoothly by proper production planning, man management, manpower planning etc.
* Continuous monitoring of all the operations like concentrate drying in rotary dryer, proper smelting of concentrate in flash smelter, treatment of slag in submerged electric arc furnace, uninterrupted water circulation in cooling element, matte converting in converter, fire refining of blister copper in Monometer and anode casting.
* Looking after the running equipments to avoid minor and major breakdowns. Taking the decision depending on the plant position without any delay.
* Proper monitoring of concentrate blending by grab crane and conveyor belt having dyno drive motor for maintaining desired matte grade (50±2).
* Flash smelting (Outokumpu) operation control by controlling various parameters in PLC like volume of oxygen flow to maintain degree of oxidation, oil flow, temperature of preheated air, control of momentum ratio (MR) etc.
* Thorough monitoring of Central Jet Distributor (CJD) burner for smelting, jamming problem, heat and mass balance of flash smelting reactions,.
* Continuous monitoring of matte grade as per analysis report of matte, oxygen control, monitoring of sulphutisation index, judgment of liquid flow and temperature.
* Attending all types of equipments breakdown and rectification within minimum period of time.
* Familiarity with Electro Static Precipitator, high and low pressure, burner, flue gas flow duct line system, Auto-Weigher system for anode casting, various types of motor, pump, cooling element and its looping system, Pneumatic Dust Conveyor (PDC) for dust conveying System.
* Working with project group during major overhauling 2008 of smelter plant. Familiarity with process flow diagram (PFD).
