Role -

* Handling the commodities like Aluminum castings, Gears, Fabrication, Hoses, rubber parts, machined components, sheet metal components like canopies, cubicles as SQA as per Atlas Copco specifications.

* Routine supplier audit, potential supplier assessment for QMS and EMS as per Atlas
Copco standards. Follow ups for CAPA, monitoring of CAPA, PPAP, APQP, and FPA.

* TO monitor the development of manufacturing processes, Inspection methodologies. To approve the Quality plan at supplier end.

* To conduct the quality improvements programs, logistic improvements programs for suppliers. Material handling process improvement at supplier end to avoid dents/damages.

* To monitor the supplier performance through PPM, Quality rating, customer complaints, warranty issues.

* Failure analysis of the components failed on line or in warranty. To take appropriate corrective and preventive actions in manufacturing processes at supplier end.

Responsibilities: -

* Handled Suppliers in 3 categories - Steel supplier mills (raw material), machined / pressed components ¡Vassemblies, rubber/ plastic component suppliers, subcontracted process suppliers.

* Supplier Evaluation through evaluation process. Problem solving, follow up for quality system implementation / up-gradation at supplier end. To monitor Supplier PPM, Supplier Quality rating, quality issues. Action plan implementation for continual reduction in supplier PPM. Process development at supplier end through supplier process audit. Still mill assessment audit.

* Routine supplier visits, follow up for corrective / preventive actions for quality problems in 8D format. To verify / monitor effectiveness of Corrective Actions in Supplier Quality Audits. To monitor the quality of new products development (APQP meetings), to conduct the PPAP at supplier end and approve the same. To ensure that systems and processes are as specified and are adhered to. Warranty failure analysis / metallurgical analysis.

* To decide the action plan for low performance suppliers based on PPM data. Interactions with customers regarding supplier related issues. Analysis of warranty issues from customer, related to suppliers. To analyze and resolve the customer complaints due to suppliers in weekly PTC (Protect the Customer) meetings. To decide disposal actions on non-confirming supply.

* To arrange Supplier Quality Improvements programs / trainings for suppliers to share the best practices regarding quality and quality systems developments. Monthly interactions with supplier regarding quality performance and quality issues. To encourage the supplier for improvements in quality management systems. To arrange third party inspections, testing if required.

* To prepare and implement part inspection standards / work instructions for out sourced components. To monitor customer's satisfaction / expectations / Customer specific requirements related to quality in outsourced components and the quality systems requirements at supplier end. MIS preparations and presentation for SQIG.

* To reduce the rejection in production by using the tools like TPM, SPC, Kaizen, PokaYoke, Six Sigma (In house and at supplier end). To make inspection standards, visual aids, quality alerts for operator. To validate the performance of the products through various performance tests as per specifications in house as well as from third party like ARAI.

* To communicate with other departments like product development, manufacturing, purchase, marketing for various customer requirements. Internal auditing for QMS. Product and process audit for in hose production. CFT member. Customer representative for shop floor quality issues- Follow up / monitoring effectiveness of CAPA given to customer complaint. * To ensure quality of machine tools to insure conformance of required quality. To procure and monitor the calibration of fixtures, gauges / measuring instruments used for receiving inspections.
