n Process engineer on Stillwater Mining Company Definitive Review Study. Study manager for various studies including: tailings pond dewatering/evaporation study, tailings pond sands/slimes reclamation study, concentrator engineering study including crushing circuit evaluation and plant debottlenecking study, replacement SAG mill feasibility study, 5000L rail dump study. Project engineer and study manager for the underground mine conveyor system feasibility study. Team leader for emergency SAG mill repair project.

Process, equipment, and mechanical engineering of an expansion to an existing copper/molybdenum ore processing facility. Lead mechanical engineer during concentrator expansion screening study. n Cuajone Heap Leach Crushing Facility Study, Southern Peru Copper Company, Cuajone, Peru. Review and optimization of existing crushing plant, including process simulation.
n Lomas Bayas Crushing Facility Study, Boliden, Chile. Review and optimization of existing crushing plant, including process simulation.
n Henderson 2000 Project, Cyprus Minerals Co., Climax Molybdenum Division; Colorado, USA. Project engineering on the in-mine and overland conveyor system developed to replace the existing rail transport system.
n Batu Hijau Copper Project, Newmont Gold Company, Indonesia. Process engineering of copper/gold ore processing facility. Process manager/lead process engineer on EPC phase of Newmont Gold Company's Batu Hijau Project. Involvement during the original feasibility study included grinding equipment selection studies, flotation equipment selection, and concentrate dewatering studies. Lead equipment engineer during later stages of EPC directing the final equipment procurement, final vendor drawing acceptance and purchase order closeout.
n Muruntau Gold Project, Newmont Gold Company, Uzbekistan, CIS. Process and equipment operating review and optimization. Performed extensive crushing/screening circuit review in order to optimize and attain design tonnage.
n Getchell Gold, Getchell Gold Company, Nevada, USA. Grinding circuit review and optimization. Process modification to include a vertical ball mill for tertiary/regrinding application.
n Bella Vista Project, Minera Rayrock, Costa Rica. Prefeasibility study for gold project, including process development, equipment selection, and capital and operating costs.
n Callo Abajo Project, USMX, Puerto Rico, USA. Prefeasibility study for gold project, including process development, equipment selection, and capital and operating costs.

n Cresson Project, Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Company, Colorado. Process and project engineering of gold heap leach and recovery plant.
n Fortitude Extension Project, Battle Mountain Gold Company, Nevada. Process and project engineering and economic analysis as part of feasibility study.

n Manager, application engineering/product manager, Comminution Equipment. OSNA Equipment Inc. Responsibilities included sales, marketing, and process and application engineering of all process equipment offered by OSNA Equipment. Detailed process equipment knowledge in crushers, vibrating screens, grinding mills, hydrocyclones, spiral concentrators, Delkor Linear Screens (DLS), interstage carbon retention screens (NKM type), horizontal belt vacuum filters (Delkor), agitators and mixers (Mixtec), flotation equipment (mechanical and column), high-intensity magnetic separators (Permroll), and ore sorting equipment.
n Product manager, Comminution Equipment Division. OSNA Equipment Inc. Responsibilities included sales, marketing, product design, and process engineering for the Comminution Equipment Division. Division products included grinding mills, various types of crushers including jaw, cone, and impact crushers, and vibrating screens.
n Manager, Process Engineering ECO Systems Group, Svedala Industries, Inc. Grinding Division, with responsibilities including managing and controlling the process and application engineering for the ECO Systems Group. ECO Systems was the grinding systems product group specifically targeting the flue gas desulfurization (FGD) industry and its limestone grinding requirements. Developed standard grinding systems specifications and standard pricing for mills ranging in size from 100 hp to 6,000 hp. Included the following:
– Louisville Gas and Electric, Kentucky. Process optimization and operator training of limestone grinding/slurry preparation system.
– Public Service of Indiana, Indiana. Process optimization of limestone grinding/slurry preparation system.
– Anshan Iron and Steel, People's Republic of China. Flowsheet design for crushing, screening, and grinding portions of concentrator modernization and expansion.
n Process engineering manager with responsibilities including managing, coordinating, and controlling the process and application engineering aspects of the Grinding Systems Division of Boliden Allis worldwide. As the lead process and application engineer, was the company process expert in the field of AG and SAG grinding. Projects included the following:
– Supervisor, application engineering. Primarily involved in the technical and commercial supervision of the application engineers of the grinding systems product line. As the supervisor, provided the necessary leadership to maintain high standards of grinding mill application technology within the corporation. Market information and cost and design knowledge were used to insure that the products offered to customers were competitive, of cost-effective design, and the correct machine for a specific application.
– Senior process engineer. Responsibilities involved several facets of the mineral processing industry at the domestic and international levels including: plant flowsheet development, equipment sizing, development of specifications, and procurement of quotations on equipment and project pricing. Also responsible for the U.S. marketing of mineral processing equipment of a foreign subsidiary.
– Formerly specialized as a grinding mill application engineer working on many large projects. Responsibilities included evaluating testwork, specification evaluation, mill sizing, technical and commercial proposal preparation, and conducting technical sales presentations.
n Metallurgical engineer and operations shift foreman for United States Steel Corporation, in its Minntac plant. Responsibilities included handling and solving the problems that are encountered in processing and agglomerating magnetite ore (taconite). Specific areas of concern were slurry filtration and the subsequent testing of filtering media, product (pellet) size and grade control, the analytical testing and monitoring of wet scrubber effluent, the chemical analysis of tailings water, and the physical and chemical testing of emission gases.
