June 3rd 2000 to present – Sonatrach/Ourhoud Organisation Hassi Messaoud:
(A joint venture of Anadarko, Cepsa, Maersk, Enie Oil, Burlington, Talisman Energy and Sonatrach):
- Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics and Contracts Co-ordinator in charge of the supervision of the purchase orders ;
- Assisting the Contract Administrator in translating documents from English to French (Inquiries, letters of intent, contracts, memos, notices…) and in preparing drafts of contracts in French;
- Contacts with local and international suppliers and contractors;
- Follow up of unpaid invoices of local and international suppliers and co-ordination with the Finance Department;
- Assisting the local and the international buyers in their various tasks (contact with suppliers for availability of goods, delivery terms, payment terms, IBS tax, transport etc.);
- Follow up of purchase orders, from their submittal to Management for approval up to fax transmittal to suppliers and acknowledgement of purchase orders' receipt by them;
- Invoice queries: preparation of purchase orders for invoice reconciliation, co-ordinating with Finance and the department involved;
- Materials invoice checking with purchase order and material receipt report, prior to transmittal to Management for approval and payment;
- Follow up of cheques for their reconciliation.
November 1st 1997 to May 31st 2000 – Snc-Lavalin International Inc. Rhourde-Nouss:
- Administrator at the Rhourde-Nouss Project (construction of an LPG plant), handling administration work (plane reservations, preparation of Expatriate personnel applications for desert passes, work and resident permits, etc.) and break schedule;
- Checked and controlled the daily and the monthly meal reports established the catering company;
- Assisted the Construction Manager in office duties, typing of construction documents and translating from French to English;
- In charge of transmission, reception, and distribution of correspondence;
- Daily use of computer software (Word, Excel).
June 18th 1997 to October 31st 1997 – Red Med Services
Hired by Red Med Services to work at the SNC-Lavalin Project in Rhourde-Nouss as Administrative Assistant:
- In charge of all the activities in the Expatriate Camp;
- Checked and controlled the daily and monthly meal reports established by the caterer;
- Supervised the cleanliness of the rooms, kitchen, restaurant, the bar, the recreation room and all the facilities in camp;
- Held safety meetings with local employees;
- Reception and transfer of the different materials and equipment and Inventory Control;
- Supervision and inspection of the work done by the different suppliers during the renovation of the camp;
- Co-ordination with Military for escorts;
- Transportation, maintenance of vehicles, purchasing.
January 1993 to May 1996 – Western Geophysical Company
Worked for Western Geophysical Company Party 772 in different areas south of Hassi-Messaoud and the area of In-Salah.
- Personnel Administrator, responsible of all activities in the camp. Was in charge of local employees (interviews, selection of candidates, personnel contracts, social security declarations, time keeping, payroll, reimbursement of expenses, safety meetings, safety inspections etc.);
- Coordination with the labour office and other government authorities;
- Was also in charge of interpretation and translation (English, French and Arabic);
- Helped the Party Manager in his duties (operating the SSB and FM radios, daily contacts with Hassi-Messaoud Warehouse and other crews). Assisted the Safety Advisor and replaced him during his absence (Held safety meetings, made inspections, gave H.S.E. training to local employees).
September 1991 to March 1992 – B. H. P. Petroleum
Employed by B.H.P. Petroleum in Hassi-Messaoud as Radio-operator.
Had been trained by a specialist of Paktel communications in the transmission of "Paktel" messages.
September 1987 to June 1991 – Ministry of Education
Worked as English teacher in secondary schools in Djelfa and in Laghouat.
September 1983 to April 1986 – Acieroid Italiana S.P.A. Laghouat
- Personnel and Administration Manager handled all matters concerning local employees (local hire, interviews, selection of candidates, contracts, social security declarations, salary grades, payroll, taxes etc.) and was in charge of supervising the preparation of all documents concerning the work, resident permits, and visas of Expatriate personnel;
- Coordination with the Labour office authorities, with the trade union (UGTA).
June 1983 to September 1983 – Tenec, Hassi R'Mel and Laghouat
- Personnel Administrator in charge of local employees payroll, taxes, time keeping, contracts, etc.
November 1982 to March 1983 – Bechtel International Inc.
Employed as senior timekeeper and Radio Operator by Bechtel International Inc. for the 24" pipe line project Hassi-R'Mel/Arzew. Co-ordination with the different camps.
September 1980 to November 1982 – Fluor Texas Inc.
Worked for Fluor Texas Inc. at the Alrar project (construction of a gas treatment plant) near In-Amenas, Algeria as Administrative Assistant, Interpreter and Translator (English/French/Arabic). Helped the Administration Manager in his various duties.

Worked for Parker Drilling Company Limited in Hassi-R'Mel as Assistant Personnel Manager, in charge of interviews and selection of candidates, local personnel recruitment and social security declarations. Supervised the Time-keeping department. Was also responsible for the preparation of the work and resident permit applications for Expatriate personnel. Worked also as Interpreter and Translator (English/French/Arabic). Helped the Personnel Manager and the Safety Officer in their various duties.
March 1976 to November 1976 – Pritchard International Corporation
Employed by Pritchard International Corporation in Hassi-R'Mel as Expatriate Personnel Co-ordinator. Was in charge of the preparation of the work, resident permits and visas applications for the Expatriate personnel. Worked also as Interpreter and Translator (English/French/Arabic).
January 1974 – August 1974 – Pritchard-Rhodes Limited
Employed by Pritchard-Rhodes Limited during the Commissioning and
Start-up phase in Hassi-R'Mel as office clerk and materials controller. Was in charge of receiving, storing, labelling and sending materials and equipment. Assisted the Construction Manager in the office duties.
