CAREER
Expediting Coordinator: CME Ltd.: May 2003 - Present
Contracted to PFD, an EPC contractor involved in the TCO project in Kazakhstan. Responsible for the expediting of project equipment and materials, activities including: confirmation of order; expediting and review of project documentation; reporting of manufacturing status' on SAP system; coordination of field expeditors activities; expediting of QA documentation; expediting of shipping documentation; issue of release for shipment documentation; and, expediting of final documentation packages.

Expediting Coordinator: Bridgereed Engineering Ltd.: Aug 2002 – April 2003
Contracted to a major Belgian EPC contractor for the coordination of expediting activities of critical orders for the final phases of a project to construct an LNG Terminal in Portugal.
After joining the project at quite a late stage the role involves liaison with elements within the project team as to critical orders and equipment that require urgent expediting of goods and documentation.
The preparation of procedures and work-instructions for the expediting on a project for the construction of an LNG Terminal in the northern Norway. Also involved in the review of the Terms and Conditions for purchasing.

Senior Engineer: Hitachi Zosen Europe Limited: Dec 1995 – Nov 2000
Dec 95 – Sept 97 Initially employed as a Senior Expeditor and then Assistant Expediting Manager of plant and ships' equipment in London and Osaka, Japan. Responsible for up to 120 vendors at any one time involving regular travel within Europe and the Far East as the principal expeditor for Thai Oil Mixed Xylenes plant project valued at US$22m, Mitsui Vina Plastic and Chemical Co. PVC plant project in Vietnam valued at US$40m, and, SIP in Indonesia PVC plant project of US$50m. Ensuring compliance with specification, and the on-time delivery of equipment and documentation. Whilst working in the Far East, responsible for negotiation and procurement of local area project equipment. Attended witness inspections of rotational equipment, electrical systems and switchgear cabinets, compressor systems, piping and valves within Europe and South East Asia.
Sept 97 – May 98 Seconded to Hitachi's Ariake shipyard as an Assistant Expediting Manager in the International Procurement Department, responsible for the coordination of global procurement and expediting activities for the construction of the West Venture II fifth generation semi-submersible drilling rig valued at US$260m.
May 98 – May 99 Commenced work as an Assistant Manager in Post-Contract Administration Department at the Ariake shipyard for the West Venture II, duties including the coordination of documentation for customer and vendor change/variation order requests. To liaise with legal consultants in the UK and Australia, then to interpret and aid in the formation of policies based on advice provided.
Using MSProject 98 produced the construction schedule for the West Venture II in anticipation of financial and delivery negotiations concerning change/variation order requests.
Jun 99 – Nov 00 Returned to London as Senior Engineer in the Plant Shipbuilding and Offshore Business Division. Other duties include the sourcing of new/emerging technologies, using the internet to research into current financial and market trends in the offshore, petro-chemical, manufacturing and allied industries.
Achievements:
Successfully expedited Thai project for on time start and significantly reduced delivery times from purchase order.
Saved Hitachi up to US$150k at Ariake by presenting well researched advice limiting expenditure on vendor change order requests.
