COMPANY PROFILE:
One of the leading National E&P Company in the country involved in exploration, production and transportation of crude oil, natural gas and LPG.
TASK:
To handle the Training & Development activities of the company at the
Management Training and Development Center (MTDC), Oil India Limited, Duliajan – Aligning training activities towards the organization goal.
ACTIVITIES:
* Identify Training need of the employees
* Prepare training plan including In-house Calendar.
* Generate proposals, decide upon costs, finalize proposal with industries for training in their premises or in company premises.
* Organize training for the employees including the statutory safety training programs.
* Depute employees for In Country and Overseas training.
* Infrastructure maintenance – 5 classrooms, 1 Auditorium, 65 room capacity Guest House and the Audio Visual equipments.
* To select and train suitable employees to function as Internal Trainers.
* To organize training (mainly technical) by the selected Internal Trainers at the shop floor level.
* To prepare modules of various Statutory Safety Trainings, Behavioral, Attitudinal, Managerial and Technical training as per the requirement of the employees by discussing with external agencies.
* To train employees in areas of Attitude development and other behavioral aspects.
* To plan for the manpower requirements of the department.
* To plan for achieving the Training MOU signed with Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas by the organization.
* To prepare Balanced Score Card and KPI.
* To provide refresher training to the employees of the department on Computer Skills.
* Oversee the functions of Central Library of the company – procurement of books, journals etc.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:
* Member of the Consultancy team of Oil India limited on "Organizational Structure and Manpower Review Of Director General Of Hydrocarbons, India". Visited Department of Trade and Industries (DTI), UK for discussion related to Manpower Structure of DTI in 2005.
* Member of Task Force for preparation of "New Training Policy" for the organization in 2004.
* Member of first Task Force to select "Cross Functional Teams" (CROFT) to implement "Breakthrough Performance" in the organization in 2004.
* Committee member and Coordinator of the Committee formed to prepare Course Material for "Petroleum Technology Course" - Upstream Sector, to be incorporated in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) in the Country.
* Implementation of a "Training Need identification Skill Matrix" across the organization in 2003-04.
* Involved in selection process of "Internal Trainers" for the organization. Developed the Internal Trainers by training them with reputed National and International faculties. Facilitated in identifying training needs, preparing training modules, selecting target participants and imparting training.
* Achievement of "Excellent Rating" for the last 3 years in Training MOU signed with concerned ministry.
* Developed suitable training modules for the "Contract workers" working in various hazardous operations of the company and imparted training
