1) Presently working in Reliance Industries Limited, Refinery Division, Jamnagar as Sr.Manager-Project Contract & Procurement (Electrical & Instrumentation).
Looking after Project Procurement, Drawing Study & Approval, Supervise the responsibilities during project period, Procurement of field related items, Vendor Development, Technical Negotiation.
Procurement of all Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation items for expansion project and maintenance. Quality material at optimum cost, Establishing, Modification & Following of procedures.
Responsible for contract management and administration for all contracts from tendering until close out.
Management of Contracts, covering contract strategies, selection of bidders, tender, evaluation & award.
Pre-qualification of potential bidders/ vendors for Project contracts and Purchase Orders.
Preparation of Enquiry Documents / bidding including evaluation of bids, award of contracts.
Monitor performance of Contracts and prepare performance evaluation report.
Negotiation and award of contracts including evaluation of priced and un-priced commercial bid evaluation. Review Contract Close-out Reports.
Review Provisional/final Acceptance certificates prior to management approval.
Updating of Contract Management and Administration Procedures.
Updating standard Terms & Conditions, relevant Annexure, Form of Tender and Instructions to Bidders.
2) ISPAT INDUSTRIES LIMITED: April 2000 to Nov-2004.
Worked in IIL as Dy. Manager (Electrical & Automation) in 3 MTPA Hot Strip Mill project worth 7000 Crores supplied by SMS DEMAG-GERMANY and SIEMENS AG-GERMANY.
Worked as a Team leader for Erection & commissioning of Tunnel Furnace.
Tunnel Furnace is designed by M/s Bricmont USA and major equipment are Siemens S7-400 PLC, Siemens VC AC Drives, Wonderware HMI, Level-2 Servers, and Field Instruments
Finalization of functional specification and duty books, drawing approval, Vendor Approval & Material Inspection and Certification.
Software Development, MMI Package Development and functional simulation checking. PROJECTS Group leader of team of engineer for Erection and Commissioning of Thin Slab Caster & Tunnel Furnace electrical and automation systems consisting of Siemens S7-400 PLCs, Master Drives, Systems, A.C. Motors, variable voltage drives and Field Instruments.
Responsibilities:
Compiling documents & preparing purchase requisition for Project Materials from International suppliers.
Obtaining approval / issuing purchase requisitions and request for quotations to International suppliers.
Coordinating Technical / commercial reviews and clarifications on offers received and ensure completeness.
Preparing commercial / technical award recommendations of Purchase Orders.
Expediting post award technical specifications meetings with awarded Supplier.
Assist in Invitation to Tenders, Tender Evaluations and Contract Award Recommendations, Contracts and Service Orders and maintaining control of the work on a day to day basis.
Draft specific working procedures for Contracts and Procurement Department.
Assist in the revision and rationalization of the company's Contracts and Procurement policies and procedures.
3) Project Engineer, HEG Ltd, Durg (C.G.), May-1995 to Mar-2000 Self was involved with project activities of 12.8 MW Captive Power plant and Sponge Iron Plant. Responsible for Erection and Commissioning of various Drives, field instruments such as Flow transmitters, Temperature transmitter, Level transmitter, Pressure transmitter, Analyzer, Pressure switch, Level gauge, Limit switches, Proximity switches, Photocells and Control panel boards and PLCs. Carried out loop checking.
