* Project Lead for the LD Integrated Decision Support System (iDSS) team nominated for a 2002 Excellence award. That team developed the web-based application, called OneView Business Intelligence (BI) Tool. The tool was an important milestone for Verizon Long Distance because it integrated both East and West data across operational systems.

Business Analysis / Process Improvement
* Participated in the foundation of the corporate-wide competitive intelligence and business analysis network. Results: Initial costs savings to company of over $1 million per year in information contracts consolidations.

* Analyzed international contract preparation process. Supervised two system developers for the design of a contracts database to inform and alert management to financial and performance obligations under contracts.
- Reduced time spent by negotiators on clerical activities.
- Re-directed negotiator activities to business development. Saving $67,000 annually.

* Systemized process for monitoring competitors' activities and tracking opportunities under consideration by decision-makers. Results: Reduced decision response time 400%.

* Developed Lotus Notes database to disseminate current contract brief information. Results: Enabled worldwide viewing of contract briefs, property maps and well information by authorized users. Printing costs saved annually, $10,000.

* Conducted study of international company libraries. Results: Consolidated four libraries to one, reducing costs for reference materials, periodicals and increasing office space. Savings of $25,000 per year.

* Re-engineered method for data warehousing of executed/model contracts and key documents. Results: Reduced clerical costs of copying and distribution of contracts; and improved access, text searching and version control of contracts for negotiators.

* Conducted study of ARCO International Negotiations department's work functions and interfaces. Results: Recommended work process changes resulted in time savings equal to one headcount. Improved travel efficiency of negotiators and reduced travel costs non-essential personnel by $100,000 the first year.

* Pioneered a systematic method for depicting multi-level land interests in acreage and map reports. Results: Improved map creation and reduced costs $3-6,000 per map.

Supervision
* Administered domestic lease property set up project that included team selection, supervision of six team members and diplomatic coordination with management of the company selling properties. Results: Recommended innovative remote entry process that reduced the process by $20,000.

* Supervised land administration staff of six. Results: Reduced staffing costs by $64,000 and improved work process quality. Participated in end-user development team for the lease management system. including requirements definitions, design, testing, implementation and personnel training of a corporate-wide system. Results: Delivered an innovative system that continued successfully operating after 15 years.
