Summary of Key Skills:
I have accumulated thirty years experience in the oil & gas/heavy engineering/construction industry. During this period I have worked in all facets of Project Controls. Chevron is my current employer in Soyo, Angola. ExxonMobil (Paris) was my previous employer commencing November 2004. Before that Unocal and ExxonMobil were my last overseas employers. I was employed as a Business Co-ordinator with ExxonMobil at their Indonesian Aceh Production Operations interfacing with the Operations, Drilling and Projects departments. During my employment in Indonesia I worked closely with 6 national employees. Part of my job brief was to develop Project Controls systems and hand them over at the end of my 12 month assignment so national ExxonMobil staff could continue in my role. Whilst in Aceh I worked under Islamic culture and laws and by the end of my assignment I had come to better understand and appreciate them. With Unocal I was situated in Jakarta and Balikpapan.
During my employment history I have spent over ten years working under American Project Management systems used by Bechtel, Fluor Daniel, KBR and Ralph M. Parsons. I have also spent three years working for Australia's largest LNG exporter Woodside Petroleum and worked for design and construct companies local to Australia erecting LNG Trains, gold mines, large civil infrastructure projects and defence projects (shipbuilding) for twenty years.
During my work experience I have held many positions in Project Controls from site cost clerk through to Project Controls Manager. My depth of Project Controls knowledge is firmly based in estimation, cost control, budget formation / progress control. In these roles I have been exposed to and learned to deliver project budgets and forecasts on time with no surprises. I pride myself in my ability to work as a team member managing from within and upwards.

Responsible for implementation of project control best practices. Interact, guide and manage six national staff to ensure best practices and knowledge management is carried out.
While in a lead role position, I was also required to have very hands -on approach to ensure ExxonMobil's OIMs criteria were adhered to.

Project Controls Manager for HBI Project for BHP Billiton at Port Hedland. Take over from an incumbent Project Controls Manager of six years to finish off the existing project work. . Develop, establish and monitor project controls systems for the feasibility study of a
90 000 t/a commercial magnesium plant.
