Senior PDMS Administrator
Singgar Doris Engineering Consultants provide Design Consultancy services catering for both onshore and offshore projects. Singgar Doris was formed by Singgarmulia along with collaboration with Doris Engineering Consultant of France. Since there was no prior PDMS setup I had to put extra effort to build all the necessary libraries of catalogues and specs. Also developed many customised programs to suit the working structure of the company and increase productivity. I am currently handling 15 PDMS designers and involved with the following projects.
Basic Engineering of TUNU Ph 12, Client: TOTAL E&P INDONESIE. This project is done in collaboration with It consists of 3 new offshore GTS extensions referred to as Bx, Fx and Nx,.with two adjacent Well head platforms connected to each GTS. Completed in 6 months.
Early Detail Engineering of TUNU Ph 12, Client: TOTAL E&P INDONESIE. GTS Nx was awarded for detail engineering on a fast track basis. All the isometrics's, piping support drawings, General arrangement drawings, Piping MTO, Bolt MTO were generated from PDMS. The project was completed in 3months in accordance with the plan.
PECIKO Ph6, Detail engineering of new LP Compression Unit, Client: TOTAL E&P INDONESIE. This is an onshore project and currently finishing building piping catalogues and specifications in PDMS for this project. All the project DB structure and users are created and Equipments, Structure and Civil users have started to develop the model.
In addition to the above I provided support to the PDMS development team for Pondok Tengah, Pertamina Project, Generation of Spool drawings for Kerisi CPP Project at the SMOE Fabrication yard at Batam, Indonesia and setup PDMS for SMOE to generate spool drawings for Total's Tunu ph 11 project.

PDMS Administrator
Damit Worley Engineering provides Design Consultancy services catering for both Brown field and Green field offshore projects. Major clients are BSP (Brunei Shell Petroleum) and BLNG (Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas). I worked in the position of PDMS Administrator. Responsibilities include activities like Creation of Users, Teams, Databases, Project setup, creation and building of new catalogue and specifications according to BSP standards and Customize PDMS to cater to BSP working procedures, Troubleshooting design and isometric errors, MTO and COG report extraction.
Developed macros to automatically generate drawing wise fabrication Isometrics including spool weight report. Customised MDS to automatically generate support drawings and utilities for printing the drawings.
Trained and built an In-house PDMS team of 12 personnel to cater to the company PDMS project requirements.
Conducted Administrator and User level PDMS training for a team of 6 Brunei Shell Petroleum employees

* Champion West Development Project Phase 3, EPC contractor: Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering, Malaysia. Client: Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn. Bhd. Brunei Darussalam This was a Green field project.
* Fairley Baram Further Development Project. Client: Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn. Bhd, Brunei Darussalam. This was a brown field project. PDMS model was created through photogrammetry by Offset Services, UK. Highlight in this project was to add intelligence to the dumb PDMS model from photogrammetry and merge it with the new model following BSP spec and catalogue.
* Egret Oil acceleration Project, Client: Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn. Bhd, Brunei Darussalam. This was also a brown field project. Developed utility macros to generate drawing wise fabrication isometrics which also included spool weight report.
* Fairley 1 and 3 Asbuilting Project, Client: Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn. Bhd, Brunei Darussalam. Involved in adding intelligence to the dumb asbuilt PDMS model of existing platform, generated from photogrammetry. Adding intelligence included reassigning all the pipes with line nos and specifications, equipments and nozzles with tag names. Reclassifying the model into proper hierarchy so that Pipe MTO, Line list, Weight reports, surface area report for paint calculation, Cog etc could be extracted and further expansion projects could be designed in PDMS. Developed utility macros to aid in reselecting the pipes with the correct specs and classifying the model into proper hierarchies.
* Seria North Flank Conceptual Design PDMS model, Client: BSP. Involved in building a total conceptual design PDMS model from scratch.

Sampan Marine Technology Sdn Bhd is a manpower supply agency. Have been deputed to work on various Offshore projects with the following fabricators.
Projects handled on deputation:
1. MISC FPSO (Malaysian Industrial Shipping Corporation Floating Production Storage and Offloading), EPC contract for Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd, Malaysia. (Duration: 8 months). Client: Malaysian Industrial Shipping Corporation. Design Consultant: Dynamic Processing Solutions PLC, UK. Working as PDMS Lead Engineer. Am involved in the development of the model from scratch. PDMS administrator activities such as Creation of Users, Teams, Databases, Project setup, Building / Loading of the ANSI Piping catalogue, creation of piping specs. Interaction with the Design consultant to get the inputs from the model. Extracted preliminary MTO and COG report. Developed a utility for PDMS paragon module to browse / interrogate / modify the piping specification.

2. North Lukut and Penara Development Project, EPC contract for Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd, Malaysia (Duration: 10 months). Currently reached the as-building stage. Client: Petronas Carigali. Design consultant: MMC Oil and Gas Sdn Bhd. This project is an EPC Contract, hence was involved in developing the PDMS model from scratch, interacting with the design consultant for various inputs to model the platform. Modelling equipments from vendor drawings, cable trays from the electrical engineer sketches, piping and cable tray supports, loading of the structural model into PDMS from BOCAD. Generation of deliverables like isometrics and General Arrangement drawings. Extraction of MTO, Spool report, Diainch report, COG report, Hydro test packages.

3. BS-A and BR-B WHRP Topsides, for Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd, Malaysia (Duration: 12 months). Client – Talisman Malaysia Sdn Bhd formerly known as Lundin Malaysia Sdn Bhd
Work involved administration activities like Loading the Client model, PDMS project setup, Creation of Users, Teams and MDB's according to the users and project requirement, creation of UDA's and preparation of the model for Isometric generation. Extraction and checking the Database Consistency Report. Generation of fabrication isometrics, building and updating of piping catalogues. Modelling piping supports. Generation of MTO on monthly basis, spool and Diainch report, valve summary. Modelling new Equipments and Vendor data incorporation. Incorporation of changes in P&ID to the model. Routing of new pipes not modelled by reading the P&ID. Loading the structure model from Bocad. Developing, modifying and upgradation of Macros. Work involves generation of fabrication isometrics, building and updating of piping catalogues. Generation of MTO on monthly basis, spool and Diainch report, Valve summary. Developing, modifying and upgradation of macros. Vendor data incorporation. Loading of the structure model from Bocad. Clash checking, documenting and Clash resolving (even visit Site if required).

September 2000 – July 2001
Sime Sembcorp Engineering (through Sampan Marine Technology Sdn Bhd)
PDMS Engineer
Projects handled on deputation:
1. ANGSI-A CPP Topsides Development project, for Sime Sembcorp Engineering Sdn Bhd, Malaysia (Duration: 10 months). Client – Petronas Carigali.
Work involves generation of fabrication isometrics, building and updating of piping catalogues of ANSI piping standard, glass fibre reinforced epoxy-piping catalogue of Ameron. Modelling of piping supports. Clash checking and clash resolving. Visiting site whenever required. Developed a program to produce a Diainch report for all pipes, classification done on the basis of module, size, material and type of weld or joint. Customized Isodraft for automatic production of isometrics.
2. Upgraded a third party application software working on PDMS to calculate COG of Pipes from PDMS Ver 10.5 (PML1) to PDMS Ver. 11.3 (PML2). This COG software was developed by IOCS, who were the previous authorized distributors of PDMS in Malaysia. This project was done for Sime Sembcorp Engineering Sdn Bhd (Duration: 1 week).

* Developed an interface to EIL's in-house software "MTOPACK" for transferring the piping information from the 3D model created. MTOPACK is the in-house software developed by EIL in Oracle to take the piping MTO output in various formats.
* Developed an utility for Map Building and to run the interDB Macros generated during modelling in Design Module by different users. Developed an utility to Plot the isometrics and GAD's generated to different Printers and Plotters existing at EIL for different sheet sizes.
