Metals Processing
Reporting to Head of Procurement, working primarily on an EPC project of 3 sulphuric acid plants for the Ma'aden Phosphate Complex, Saudi Arabia and also the CSA Sinter Plant project in Brazil. Operating the full Procurement cycle from the development and issue of vendor list; enquiry documents; through bids receipt & evaluation; to pre-award negotiations & PO issue. Source new vendors, develop in-house procedures relating to Procurement issues. Coordinating the Project's expediting, inspection and logistics activities. Liaising with client's engineering consultants (Worley Parsons) in arranging their involvement where required.
Visited Middle & Far Eastern fabrication workshops to audit capabilities & workshop loading prior to negotiation and contract placement for heat exchangers, converters & ductwork.
Interfaced with Project Management, Engineering, Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation, QA/QC, Project Controls, Accounting, Legal and Construction Departments. (Contractor through ROSA Engineering AG.)

Responsible for managing the overall function of procurement / contracts & materials activities for the exploration and production requirements. Ensure that procurement activity supports existing production operations plus MRO and future work programmes for the Kursangi and Karabagli oilfields. Develop and administer procurement & contracts plus materials procedures and guidelines, including from Invitation To Tender, to award, PO / contract issue & completion. Identify new opportunities to maximise benefits from external sourcing. Provide professional support and development for the procurement / materials / administration staff within main office / warehouse & pipe yard environments. Schedule & administer Contracts Committee meetings and act as Contracts Secretary and advise partners of ongoing Contracts & Procurement activities / issues.

As a member of the Procurement Team, responsible for the procurement of the company's operation's, drilling, maintenance and project materials plus associated services for onshore operations.
Specific responsibilities include the sourcing, procuring and expediting of goods and services, the coordination of all logistical and inspection requirements associated with procurement activities, the preparation and administration of supply agreements. Liaising closely with Drilling and Production Engineers to advise P.O. status, lead times, technical queries, alternative sources, etc.
