Accounting Manager: Supervise and oversee a department of 6 that handled all aspects of accounting for several joint ventures and limited partnerships: A/P, A/R, audits, cash flow, joint interest billing, revenue, royalty payments and severance taxes on an OGSYS accounting system. Responsible for analyzing production, gathering pipeline statements and reconciling sales vs. production when booking the revenue for 16 operated fields. Maintained and entered all DOI decks. Responsible for redistributing interest on both expense and revenue decks while performing monthly JIB / Revenue distributions. Booked, maintained, prepared and posted all state royalty (SR forms) and state severance tax forms (O1D, O1S, G1D, G1S forms) for Louisiana. Managed daily cash flow reports presented directly to the President of the company. Performed all aspects of accounting for the new offshore subsidiary, including MMS and 2014 reports. Accountable for all monthly close functions. Developed Sarbanes-Oxley compliant internal control procedures. Handled and responded to all joint interest audits, parish and state sales and use tax audits and helped with year end financial auditors.
A/P – JIB Supervisor: Manage weekly cash disbursements, monthly JIBs, LOS reports, COPAS overhead calculations, payout statements and AFE analysis on all fields. Developed and implemented accounting procedures and priorities to meet set goals and objectives, while evaluating the effectiveness and accuracy of the current system that needed improvement. Created, implemented and maintained current AFE, WI / RI decks (DOI) and well numbering system. Responsible for correcting and reviewing all A/P invoice coding from Engineering, Geology, Land and Production Departments, establishing vendor accounts, maintaining vendor relations and organizing invoice-processing procedures. Maintained and preserved relations with working interest and royalty owners by providing JIB and revenue documentation. Overlook and book annual ad valorem taxes, quarterly OEE/GL insurance and execute year-end 1099s.

A/P & JIB Supervisor (Texoil/Cliffwood): Supervise and oversee all aspects of A/P and JIB on an OGSYS System. Coded G&A, LOE, leasehold, recompletion and workover invoices before being reviewed by the engineer. Administer weekly cash disbursements, monthly JIBs, LOS statements, COPAS overhead calculations and AFE analysis on 32 operated fields. Reviewed annual ad valorem taxes, executed 1099s and annual OEE/GL insurance allocation. Assumed responsibility for the quarterly fixed asset report and LOE accruals. Maintain WI owner decks and relations by providing the documentation for JIBs. Administer and negotiate contracts for mobile phones, pagers, vehicles and utility companies. Assistant Controller (Prospector acquired by Cliffwood): Responsible for a department that would administer revenue distributions on a SOGAS System. Executed all A/P, A/R, JIB and payroll responsibilities. Check signing privileges. Reconciled and maintained 10 bank accounts. Utilized Excel and Lotus spreadsheets to maintain WI and RI of joint venture owners. Executed monthly financials.
