Upstream International Commercial Experience Highlights
* JV Manager-At ARCO, managed the commercial activities of a fifty field Joint Venture, with co-owners Conoco, Texaco, Chevron, Shell, in a matrix organization. Amended the JOA to reflect changed conditions. Assimilated new fields to JV. Initiated new JV for new discoveries and acquisitions not included in existing JV. Maximized ARCO WI on all commercial transactions. Advocated ARCO interests in all technical committees, interacting with all internal and external stakeholders.
For the Kashagan JV field in Kazakhstan, analyzed and audited the operations program and recommended efficiency improvements to JV members ENI, Exxon, Total, and others.
* Exploration- In Gabon, West Africa, investigated potential oil exploratory project economics where we acquired a working interest from Phillips to drill two offshore wells. Farmed out partial back in interests to Marathon.
* Drilling-In Egypt, developed revenue projections for several farm-outs from Apache.
In Peru, analyzed viability of several onshore drilling ventures.
* Production- Analyzed opportunities for Russian drillers in US markets.
* Marketing/Business Development-In Queensland, Australia, examined the large scale development of coal bed methane reserves. Project included construction of 800 KM pipeline, negotiating of gas contract with Carville subsidiary, and transportation, and commodity contracts.
In the Far East, sold crude oil to markets in Korea and Japan, from Alaskan supplies.
At Forcenergy, a startup production company, responsible for all commercial activities of the corporation, including over 100 operated and co owner fields. Negotiated several hundred acquisitions. Setup the marketing department from scratch and helped grow the company to $4 billion, and two IPO's. Participated in road shows, and served as resource for major investment decisions with investors.
