Responsibilities and Proficiencies:
Provide Procurement support services for all assigned projects through total sourcing of materials and equipment including pre-qualifying bidders, development and issuance of Request for Proposals to qualified bidders, receipt and commercial evaluation of supplier proposals via documented bid tabulations, negotiating with suppliers, awarding business through issuance of purchase orders, change order management, supporting firm's supplier alliance program, working with firm's Engineering personnel in preparation of feed estimates, expediting and purchase order close-out. Must be able to read market conditions and be prepared to seek alternative sources of supply to meet project delivery and completion schedules. Must have the ability to work multiple projects and handle high pressure demands by internal customers. Must practice business in accordance with firm's approved Standard Operating Procedures and only in accordance with the highest ethical standards. Must be able to travel as needed to project sites, other firm's offices and supplier locations.
Excellent negotiating skills, knowledge of the supplier market especially on process equipment typically used in chemical plant and refinery operations. Sound knowledge of procuring engineered products especially those commonly used in refinery operations. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects and similar software from other sources including SQL data bases and ERP systems.
Source materials & equipment, expedite, provide commercial evaluations, make procurement recommendations, negotiate commercial conditions, issue purchase orders, closeout. Support the Procurement Manager in the procurement of engineered equipment and bulk materials. Issue RFP's, negotiate pricing. Evaluate suppliers and develop new suppliers.
Worked with 11 different SQL data base software for sales and engineering plus submitting governments bids via email in the required formats including NASA, also sent engineering documents to ABS and DNV for marine and offshore certifications for systems and equipment; worked in Shell's SAP international data base for 2 years which required two weeks of intensive training.

HFG Engineering (1 Year)
Procurement/Contracts Administrator for offshore projects.
Reduction in personnel due to a combination of mismanagement and miscommunication between HFG Engineering USA and the HFG Europe; along with the oil price collapse.

Pellerin Milnor (3 Years)
Procurement of materials for the manufacture of commercial laundry systems sold world wide.
Reason for leaving; death of the purchasing manager plus power play by other employees and a better opportunity became available.

Linder/Jacobs Engineering (1.5 Years)
Procurement/Contracts Administrator for topside projects at Shell exploration and production for the
Gulf of Mexico. Reason for leaving, lack of projects, due change in Shell's exploration policies.

Huber Inc (Two years)
Engineers and fabrication of high tech hydraulic systems for the marine, offshore and plant industries.
Assistant Project Manager involved with estimating, purchasing, scheduling, and the coordination of vendors and the shop to complete a project on schedule and within budget.
