Experience
Engineering & Construction Manger : December 2001 to Present, McDermott Caspian Contractors Inc., Dubai - Responsible for managing the pipeline detailed design engineering, construction engineering and offshore construction activities. Reporting to Project Director in a Projectized organization.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare a detailed work breakdown structure (WBS) for pipeline engineering installation activities.
• Identify unique cost, time and resources associated with each WBS element.
• Conduct formal HAZOP/HAZID for all aspects of engineering and offshore construction activities. Ensure that engineering systems and installation procedures comply with the project HSE requirements and mitigate HSE risks to an acceptable level.
• Develop a detailed scope of construction planning and procedure development activities.
• Prepare Engineering and Construction schedules.
• Monitor, review and report the actual progress of engineering and construction activities against the agreed pans. Ensure corrective actions are taken to ensure that all engineering and construction activities meet or improve upon the agreed schedule whilst ensuring that project HSE and quality standards are maintained.
• Generally direct and monitor all engineering and construction activities to ensure that project HSE standards are being maintained at all times.
• Oversee the construction procurement and subcontract activities and ensure that construction schedules, cost and manpower utilization are not adversely affected at any time.
• Management of interfaces with FEED contractor, Linepipe / coating contractor, certification authorities and other entities.
• Day to day interface with Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) on Engineering & Construction related issues.
Construction Manager: August 2001 to December 2001 , McDermott Caspian Contractors Inc. Dubai.
Responsible for Management of Pipeline Engineering works and assisting AIOC(Azerbaijan International Operating Company) to come up with the accurate cost estimates of Full Field Development during the pre sanction stage. Reporting to Deputy Program Director in a projectized organization.
Responsibilities include;
• Pre-sanction Pipeline Engineering Management
• Preparing Offshore pipeline installation construction estimate
• Preparing Level-2 schedule for construction work
• Participation in contract negotiation and finalization process.
Senior Project Engineer (Offshore Operations): January 1999 to June 2001, J. Ray McDermott Middle East Inc. Dubai. Responsible for managing the offshore work scope of the project. Reporting in a matrix project environment to the Offshore Division Chief Engineer and to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities include;
• Preparing, monitoring of project schedules and advising Management of any developments that may result in changes to work schedule/scope/sequence.
• Analysis of bid/budgeted costs and controlling the actual costs using work break down structure
• Analysis and monitoring of risks and opportunities
• Draft sub-contract agreements , administer and conclude sub-contracts
• Coordination with external agencies such as engineering, certification authorities, marine warranty survey, etc.
• Lead the preparation and active implementation of Severe Weather, medivac procedures and Job Safety Analysis and actively promote and ensure all procedures,subordinates and sub-contractors comply with HS & E policies and procedures
• Lead team of Field Engineers, Construction Design Engineers, Barge Superintendent, QA/QC crew, Diving , Marine Base Superintendent, E&M manager ,Safety Manager and Procurement personnel for a successful project execution and completion
Major projects include:
1. Project: 24" Vadinar to Kandla Trunkline, 42 km, 3 km long beach pull, post lay burial, 3.5 km onshore pipelay, Caliper pigging and testing.

2. Project: Four Replacement Water Injection Pipelines , Replacement of 4 each existing (10" & 12") pipelines (total length, 25 km), risers, crossings, free spans, pigging and testing
