Project description To transport the TPG 500 jack up drilling and production platform from the fabrication yard Keppel FELS in Singapore to the mating yard Zykh yard, Baku. The hull is designed and constructed in four self floating strips and dry towed to the Black Sea by a semi-submersible vessel. After floating the strips each strip will be wet towed to Astrakhan via the Don and Volga River and canal system. The strips are constructed narrow enough to pass through the canal locks and the height of the strips including topside equipment is just the limit pass under bridges and power lines. Equipment exceeding canal limits are dry transported from Singapore to Zykh yard via the same route by a Heavy Lift Vessel and transhipped to river vessels and barges. A total of 15.000 t strips/hull sections and app. 7.500 t shipped loose items including two 400 t living quarters and an 800 t pipe rack. All dry tow shipped loose items have been broken down for transportation purpose.

Responsibilities & achievements Project planning and execution of the works and responsible for completion within budget/resources and timeframe, including reporting to steering committee and project director.

Liaise with client representatives, consultant, warranty surveyors, internal and external engineering departments, fabrication yard and contractors.
