Over 25 years of diversified experience in the natural gas transmission and distribution pipeline industry. This experience includes managing and supervising company staff, contractors, and engineering consultants for large pipeline and facility projects. Responsible for the technical accuracy of engineering plans, review of construction, operation and maintenance specifications and procedures, assessment and selection of potential contractors, validate the installation and construction of pipelines and facilities meet DOT CFR 49 Part 192 and company guidelines, and ensure projects are completed on time and within the specified budgets.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
SUPERVISOR DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS. Virginia Natural Gas, Inc.
Norfolk, Virginia. May 2005 – October 2000.
Manage the operation, construction, and maintenance of a 155-mile transmission and distribution pipeline system and appurtenances, which includes sixteen meter and regulator stations that deliver natural gas to the City of Richmond, Columbia Gas of Virginia, Dominion Power, Virginia Natural Gas, and numerous large industrial customers. Accountable for the safe delivery of natural gas to over 150,000 residential customers. Supervise annual contracts for right-of-way mowing, site vegetation control, and aerial patrol. Administer the company's participation in "Miss Utility" to monitor contractors and ensure they excavate safely near pipelines and facilities. Responsibilities also included managing a maintenance contract on an additional 16-miles of transmission pipeline, appurtenances and associated meter and regulator stations.
SUPERVISOR AREA OPERATIONS, HANOVER DISTRICT. Virginia Natural Gas, Inc.
Norfolk, Virginia. October 2000 – September 1995.
Managed district operations and construction department serving Hanover, New Kent and Charles City counties. Duties included the development and tracking of annual capital budgets and operation and maintenance budgets ranging from $150,000 to $1,000,000, administered annual contracts for pipeline contractors and engineering consultants, coordinated, inspected and commissioned pipeline projects, verified contractor invoices, confirmed "as-built" construction plans, and supervised an inventory parts warehouse with a monthly inventory worth $75,000.

Performed construction inspection on a 155-mile, 24-inch, 1250 psig, transmission pipeline which included coordinating and supervising a team of labors in commissioning

Planned, scheduled and performed all operation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, procurement and installation of appurtenances, analyzed malfunctioning equipment and controls, recommended solutions and modifications to Corporate Engineering, supervised repair, ensured compliance on required DOT and company inspections for fifteen meter and regulation facilities and fourteen main line valve sites.
