Control System:
- As "Sr. Engineer-Support Services" in Tata Honeywell Ltd and following roles was carried out in Honeywell TDC3000 distributed control system.

* Supported Customer for modifications, administration, application engineering (Graphics, new control strategy, logics) & maintenance of Honeywell TPS (TDC-3000) Distributed Control System (DCS) for expansion project & small improvement projects.
* Performed system administration like taking system back up, check pointing, and Application back up, preventive maintenance, defining the maintenance requirement for the installed system.
* Installation, Pre-commissioning & commissioning of new installation / expansion (creating/modifying control loops, schematics, logic and control database of Honeywell TPS (TDC-3000) Distributed Control System).
* Powering up the system and engineering support (TDC3000/TPS/GUS) for commissioning and start up. (Haldia Petrochemical Project & FCC, VDU project in Haldia Refinery).
* System Hardware/Software release upgrades in Honeywell TPS (TDC3000). Co-ordination with central engineering group for S/w & H/w patches installation to improve reliability & consistency.

- As "Assistant Manager-Instrumentation" in Reliance Industries Limited, following role & function were carried out during the assignment as "Control System Engineer".

* Troubleshooting, maintenance, system administration (back up, loading S/w, configuring the H/w) entire complex DCS (ABB Advant500) & ESD (Modicon 785 PLC) installations.
* Modification of Control logic/strategy, Graphic, operating environment & back up of control database, engineering & operating station. Preparation of emergency back up (hard drive) for Operators station, engineering station and IMS.
* Managed the engineering information (System configuration, detail bill of material, software & hardware versions) for entire complex DCS installation and act as a DCS and PLC system reference/information source for plant maintenance and provide them the system technical support.
* Implementation of DCS (ABB Advant 500 System) system Hardware/Software release upgrades or other system changes / patches to repair the system bugs.
* Liaison with control system vendor (ABB) for project supply, functional specifications, Engineering requirements, FAT, Documentation and supervision.
* Liaison with control system vendor to ensure proper completion and hand over (Site acceptance Test) to conform all requirement / specifications are complied as per standard requirement.
* Ensuring the proper hand over of all updated control database and documentation of the control system of the Project.

Engg. Services/Project Engineering:

- As Inst. Engineer– Engg. Services in Al-Jubail Petrochemical Co, following roles are carried out in above field.

* Carried out in-house engineering design from feasibility, conceptual basic and detailed engineering to implementation of large and small plant design changes and modifications.
* Working in cross-functional teams to provide appropriate project scopes, engineering analysis and solutions, cost estimates, schedules.
* Preparing specifications, data sheets, instrument loop diagram, wiring diagram, material requisitions/purchase, scope of work
* Defining bill of materials (selection of I/O modules, controllers, FTAs) and application engineering requirement for the assigned projects.
* Identifying capacity bottleneck, obsolescence study in a team and derive action item, work out details short term and long term action plan.
* Diagnose complex faults, analyze malfunctions and breakdowns and recommend necessary modifications to avoid reoccurrence of complex faults.
* Participate in Risk Analysis, HAZOP, what if, Reliability study for existing and proposed new facilities and recommending mitigating action plan.
* Investigation of various safety incident, failure analysis and developing detail action plan to avoid reoccurrence.

- As "Assistant Manager-Instrumentation" in Reliance Industries Limited, following responsibilities was carried out during the Project assignment in Captive Power Plant.

* Review engineering documents by Consultants, checks and reviews of vendor data, drawings, specifications, calculations, all other technical documents and bill of materials for I&C equipment (control, relief, MOV's, transmitters, gauges, analyzers, control systems -DCS, PLC, ESD, fire and gas detection systems, and other instruments) typical for the captive power plant.
* Conduct site surveys of facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements.
* Modifying the Instrument loop diagram, hook up & installation diagram after verifying the actual site requirement.
* Guiding contractor & technician for quality assurance of Instrument installation, loop checking.
* Assists in expediting of vendor data and drawings, and of equipment/material deliveries. Also assists in evaluation of vendor change orders and in the negotiation with vendor.
* Liaison with contractors during project installation and commissioning.
* Coordinate with other engineers during the development and execution of the job to ensure conformity of engineering and user's requirements.

Maintenance:

- Worked as "Maintenance Engineer" in CFCL. As Maintenance Engineer following roles & responsibilities was carried out.

(Instrumentation & Control System In CFCL: Includes a wide range of process instrumentation, sequence logic/Shutdown logic and scheme implemented in Siemens S5 PLC, Yokogawa CENTUM V DCS.)

* Guiding and supervising Preventive/Shutdown/Breakdown Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Calibration of various continuous measuring instrument / analyzer & motion control system in continuous polymerization, solvent extraction and continuous drew line up to final product packaging.
* Carrying out necessary measures and plan to ensure that maintenance and troubleshooting of all instrument and control systems are carried out correctly to enable to operational objectives to be met.
* Developing preventive and routine maintenance schedules, procedure to ensure that equipment are maintained as effectively as possible
* Specifying and ordering of spare parts and develops spare strategy by interchangeability.
* Troubleshooting and identifying the bad actor of the problem from interlock logic/sequence logic & control schematic.
